Right, changing the render method in Reclock to DirectDraw and enabling exclusive mode gives me everything I want, CPU is @2-5% when running 720p :)

At least I now have really good H.264 playback, and it looks like the TV part (PAL) is behaving better than it did before too.

A big thanks to all of you contributing to the resolution, if anyone wants the recipe for Windows XP + ATi + DXVA + ReClock I'm sure I can cook it up.

Now out to make money to save up for a plasma that accepts real 24p and not just some phoney 75Hz PC-signal ;)

Hi, I am interessted in those settings, have the same Hardware.

my setup (HW see my system):
    - Vista 32, Catalyst 9.6
    - latest Bios
    - MP 1.0.2, with MPC-HT subtitle engine
    - Haali splitter with .avi support
    - TV over HDMI, 50Hz (I dont watch NTSC, only PAL, 1080i/50Hz and 24/23,976p)

    MediaPortal-Settings:
    - MPG2 and h.264 Codec: PowerDVD 7 codecs with DXVA
    - AC2 Filter as audio codec
    - EVR as renderer
    - Reclock as audio renderer (DirectDraw, enable VSync, enable vsync for DXVA, allow speedup up to 10%, vsync position like this: ----------------------v----------)

    Tipps:
    - first test stable DXVA setup without reclock, graph verified with Graphstudio, monitor CPU-load!

At the moment I have switched to ATi video decoder on the MPEG2 part, seems like it does a good job and I have no stutter and I get the 50i feeling I like. Previously I felt that other codecs that deinterlaced to 25 fps gave the video to much cinema-look.

I had trouble with most other codecs that gave me audio sync problems, or a wobbly picture if I enabled HW accell. I tried out PowerDVD 8 and 9, bitcontrol MPEG2 filter, DScaler and others.

    My TV setup is this:

    - Catalyst 9.7
    - Reclock 1.8.4.7 (set as postprocessing filter)
    - Avivo 9.7
    - ffdshow for audio
    - TV refreshrate set to 75 Hz

Look at the attached screenshots for clarification :)

I still use MPC codec for H.264 with speedup through ReClock from 24 to 25 fps.
