Synopsis::

Media Portal won’t detect my TV Card! I’ve updated the drivers, installed, uninstalled etc. I have however found a number of TV Cards listed as supported with the same chipset; I imagine I could get it working if I knew how. The chipset on my card is a Philips 7133, I’m unsure if it’s a software based or hardware. My TV Card works perfectly with the bundled software that came with it.

My tv-card has a phillips 7131 chipset, and is placed on a K-World Tv Terminator card. It worked great in previous versions of media portal, but doesn't work anymore with the latest for some reason.

Here are the instructions to get your software encoding card to work (and to be supported) with MediaPortal.

However, your CPU may not have enough grunt for the task...you need a minimum of a P4 2.8Ghz.

Kworld Global TV Terminator

Was anyone able to make this card work? I have one and it would be great to use it as a second tuner... It has the Phillips SAA7131 chip.

Sorry... I got rid of the card, and bought a HW-based card (PVR-350), so I have little or no more info...

I also have a K-World Tv Terminator card with 7131 chipset. Can anyone who made that card work, send instructions or an updated link (the one in Taipan message is not working anymore)
