I also have a 7131-based card (ASUS My Cinema 7131 Hybrid), and struggled a lot to get it working. After looking closly in the definition file, I found that it was dependent of some CyberLink .dll files, so the solution for me was to install that stinking CyberLink software, and uninstall it again (leave the .dll files if it asks if you want to delete them).
