A short idea without reading your logs:

If entering a folder with pictures first time, MP generates thumbnails in the background. This takes much CPU-Power. Do you have folders with large amounts of pictures?

If so, try to enter a folder and regard CPU-Load. Or you create a new folder with only a few pictures so see if problem persists.

I have looked through your logs and it seems that some pictures can not be opened for generating the thumbs, which than (due to some issue in MP) does not close the PictureDB correctly anymore. After a while the DB locks up and the system goes into a loop trying to open the database constantly. My suggestion: Leave the picture module on for a longer while (night?) so that it will generate all thumbs.

Thank you, In fact I've a very large photo's collection, so I'll leave the module active for thumbinals creation.
