the commercialname part (e.g. commercialname="Pinnacle Dual DVB-T Pro PCI 2000i - Tuner1") in the xml-definition dosn´t really matter, as far as I understand, its only the name of the card showing up in the configuration dialogs.
So you can replace this part for whatever you like....

i think to add the part to to CapureCardsDefinitions.xml will only work for the DVB-T Card. How about the DVB-S card?

yes, this definition is only for the DVB-T version (never mentioned anything else :wink. Hoewever, I think this might be a hint that it will be possible to get the DVB-S version from this card series to work with MP...
so no one out there having the DVB-S verison to check???

Yesterday, I wanted to tell you this:

Pinnacle do not offert BDA Drivers for this product or may be they can't because they do not know much about theyre own products!

With MCE you will have a little chance, to get some Programms...

I've tested the Pinnacle Dual sat pro with MCE on Astra 19° E, and it will work!
But it will only find a few of these hundreds of Stations. DVB-S Radio wont work.

But I've got 2 Satelites to scan and it seems as MCE don't know Disseq switches.

Dear all,

Can anybody of you answer the question, whether the Pinnacle PCTV Dual Sat Pro PCI supports BDA-drivers?

On their webpage they only statet official Microsoft Windows MCE support, but that doesn't assure BDA-driver-support.

Can somebody help me with that?

Yes, the Pinnavle Dual Sat Pro PCI supports BDA-drivers!

I have the same card and it works fine with MP. Watching and recording of different TV channels is possible.

After installation of Pinnacle MediaCenter V4.21, add the following capture definitions to "CaptureCardDefinitions.xml" (MediaPortal folder):

Works! there are only some forgotten Semikolon, but if they are set correct, it will run!
Search channels only in setup, because the MP Assistent will close MP while search.

Does not work in my system. I changed the "CaptureCardDefinitions.xml" as told above but my PCTV DualSat Pro PCI is not recognized by MediaPortal. What is missing. Anybody can tell me?

Okay, after a second trial the card is recognized now and works but i can't receive alle channels on Astra and Hotbird. Many are missing even after doing more than three scans. Any idea which diseq-settings i need. I have two LNB (one Astra, one Hotbird) each with four cables and use a technisat gigaSwitch 11/8. With the DBox2 or a nova-S-plus i can receive more than 2000 channels at all. But with the Pinnacle PCTV DualSat Pro PCI i can receive only a little plus 300 channels.

Try again, it will find more!
You'll never recieve all channels, that available (Hotbird13E & Astra19.2E together send nearby 3300 Channels; tuned on DBox), I recieve nearly 900TV Stations and some hundred Radio Stations.
The cause is, German Channels like ARD and ZDF are on both Satelites.
MP will update the Channels, so that there is no Channel double in list!
Datachannels won't be tuned( for what? MP and me, don't need it and can't handle).

Think! if you want to watch and record different channels, your only chance is, to enable in Setup, Cards Proberties: for only one card only the "use for record" pattern and for the other only the "use for TV" one!
(i don't have the MP on my PC this time, may be the options named some different...)

If it will not tune more channels after 3 or 5 scans, start PMC, watch there with both Recievers some different channels (satelites) and scan again. Then it will find a lot more.
