1. The Driver, in Device Manager, has the title "eHome Aáédf ..." (well something similar).

2. I want the Green button to go back to Home, as I believe the default action is setup - at the moment, when in MePo the Green button does absolutely nothing.

3. Not sure if I've tried MCE remote only, think I currently have MCE and HID remote, but other than that, yes, no other buttons over than the ones that have keyboard equivalents work. Blue3Wide on MePo 1.02

To confirm. With only MCE remote selected in the remotes section of MePo Config, the "i" button soesn't work - in fact neither to the pause and stop buttons either. I think my best bet would be to install the correct drivers, if only I could find them!!

    Hi Alderian,

I ran into similar problems with my xbox360 mce remote. The solution is to remap the non-functional IR Codes to key presses sent to MediaPortal.

HIP can do this for you. Install and run HIP (its a free utility), create a new configuration, select MCE Remote as the input device, scan the remote buttons that you want to remap (The green button, Stop, Pause, etc..), set MediaPortal as Program 1, then for each IR Code you scanned, you can assign a key press or mouse press to send to Media Portal.

For example, you could assign the Green button to key press "X" (which switches between the GUI and Fullscreen tv/video). You could also assign the Pause Button to key press "SPACE", and the Stop button to key press "B".

There's a screenshot of my HIP configuration found here: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...l-up-down-buttons-dont-work-81604/#post613136

Tried that with some success, but while using HIP my direction keys seem to double up most of the time (ie press down, and MePo jumps down 2 items).

    Thats strange, mine works fine.

Did you remap the arrow keys?

Double check the keyhits in HIP you are sending to Media Portal. Maybe the commands have extra characters.

Also try turning off the Media Keyboard option in Media Portal's 'Remote' configuration

Didn't remap arrow keys - do I have to?

Also, not exactly sure I know what I'm doing with HIP, and guides?

No you only map the buttons that dont work.

Perhaps post a screenshot of your HIP configuration.

I'll try next time I get a chance to do a screenshot. It's definitely HIP that's doing the double hit on arrow key presses as when HIP is switched off, MePo responds normally to arrow presses.

As far as screenshots go, which screens?

Well, I found the answer - and the answer was - The IR Server Suite. almost got it working as sweet as a nut, just trying to figure out how to configure the green button to toggle between fullscreen and picture-in-menu instead of going to the homescreen, etc. Also used the translator to setup the green button to start MePo. Thanks to everyone for their help.
