Just disabled the mytv series and Live TV back to normal performance, no issues, interestingly scheduled recordings seemed to have carried on through this downtime.

Also films (moving pictures) I can find and play without a problem.

Question is - how do I fix the mytv series issue?

Hi ben 1210,
You should try to repair your tvseries DB.
The database is found in the following folder:C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database.
I don't use the tvseries plugin , so what I'm going to suggest is under prejudice.
-you can try to repair the DB like you dit with the gentle config file.
-If that is a no go, you can try to remove the database,then you should do a rescan of your tvseries.
-otherwise you must uninstall and reinstall the tvseries plugin.

I went into the My TV series database, right clicked, properties, previous version, rolled it back to last weeks restore point and......

Everything is fine again!

check also "C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\Gentle.config" both gentle config must be the same (The DefaultProvider line must be the same).
Is there a MediaPortal.exe.Config file (C:\Program Files (x86)\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\MediaPortal.exe.Config

Hi Ray,

What was the problem of Rexdog, I do not know, he just confirms that his problem was solved.(We can ask for his logs @rexdog )
The problem by ben1210 was that his wife did a hard reset after mp was frozen while watching TV.
