Hey, this plugin is promising and could be very useful, but I miss unicode support.
Since I am hungarian, I can't read any of my mails in my language :(

Great job, anyway. THX!

Hmmm...How can I add unicode support for you?

Hmm, I really don't know, but I never experienced such thing as this print screen show.

    Update...

I have added POP3 support to the plugin, and posted the new version to the first post of this thread. Hotmail and any other Pop3 servers should work. Please try it out and post any feedback.

The ports used for POP3 are 110 for non-SSL and 995 for SSL.

Please be sure to remove your DATABASE and the Windows & Process plugins before installing this version... I incorporated the check for messages in the main plugin, doing away with the process plugin.

    Wile E.

hotmail is not supporting on this plugin???

    Hey Nikos,
    Hotmail is now supported...

I guess the only feature request that i can think of, is maybe pop3 support.

Also with the skype plugin, when you received a call, a screen would pop up and it would ask if you would like to take the call, yes or no.
It would be cool . if that same type of pop-up screen would come up and say you have received a new email. would you like to read it.. yes or no and if you click yes, it takes you directly to the email..
something like that would be neat.

    Hey Blitz,
I added a switch to allow a pop-up message. Currently it just alerts you, but I am looking into a way to allow it to take you directly to the message.

Hmm, I really don't know, but I never experienced such thing as this print screen show.

Could you do me a favor and forward one of the emails, and I will pound it out and figure out what is wrong.

Also, are you using MediaStream or StreamedMP skin? The alignment is horrible, I will fix that as well...

    Thanks,
    Wile E.

What settings are you using for hotmail?

    Server - pop3.live.com
    Username - Hotmail email address
    Password - Hotmail password
SSL - Yes (check the SSL box)

Try those settings and let me know if it doesnt work.

Within the MediaPortal Configuration there is a drop down box at the top of the page for Configuration Folders. Select the Database Folder and you can delete the eMail.db3 file from there...

    Cool!

I just posted a new version, I found a huge oversight with the Pop accounts. Whenever it downloads messages it was not putting the account ID in the database, so if you added more than one POP account it would mix the messages together...

    Sorry
