MPSync v1.0.0.0 Stable released. There are some improvements in the GUI to show status when you do a manual synchronization from the configuration plugin. There are also improvements in the detection of changes so that the system is not overloaded unnecessarily. Also the 2-way synchronization was removed as I found a better way to synchronize watched/resume statuses between clients.

Please have a go with it and advise of any issues.

You can download from link in post #1.

    Thanks (y)

to get the slave clients to work (from sample client a, b, ...) my solution was

to manually 1st time copy /database from server to slave clients C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\database

from then on the sync works nice ;) only 1 client here produces some background errors i see popping up when coming from resume standby,
nothing to worry about actually yet ... just telling me to close mediaportal cause its not working anymore in the background ..

alturismo, good to hear that. The issues you mentioned, are they related to MPSync plugin or something else?

    Not working at all here!
Same @alturismo's situation. Empty databases (3kb) produced even if i use old databases (from an old backup before the first release of MpSync) without mpsync tables inside the single databases.
Futhermore in the latest 1.0.0.0 release the double arrow syncronization option has disappeared from both the db and thumbs tabs.

I'm giving up... sorry because the plugin could be very useful.

    Thanks

Tgx, don't know why this attitude. I explained above why the 2-way synchronization disappeared and the issue atlurismo had was resolved. It was related to a setting on the client which used the comma as a decimal separator, which now MPSync caters for. If you have issue, you can either pm me directly and you can send me logs/databases like alturismo did and we'll work through the issue together. I can only test with the setup I have and for me, the plugin works like a charm, eliminating the need to copy dbs manually or importing on any other client except for the master.

The plugin is now working nicely thanks to @alturismo! I manually copied the master db files to the server location and to the clients and then enabled the plugin on every pc. The plugin started to work without issues. Previously i was expecting the plugin to copy the db files automatically for the first setup but it did not work. Maybe a step by step guide in the first post could help if someone else has doubts.
I'm now experimenting with the watched / resume status between master and clients.

    thanks

MPSync v1.0.0.1 just released. This version has the hours inserted back as requested by Collective and a fix to cater for the issue encountered by Tgx.

How to set up in the presence of 3-HTPC and NAS? NAS are located on all the movies, TV series, photos, music. Each of the show with his HTPC content. In principle, there is no per se as the main HTPC aozmozhno update on any of them. In such a case, how to properly set?

Allocate on the NAS section and copy the database and Thumbs, then all 3 HTPC set up mutual synchronization of this section?

Plug type Trakt.tv will not interfere?

MPCleaner also run on all 3 HTPC or only one?

ajs, the ideal implementation is as per diagram in post #1. Ideally you should have a master where you do all the imports, cover selection, etc. Then MPSync will take care to propagate the data to all the other HTPCs. To have all HTPCs with the ability to import will create confusion as not even manually you can control since unless you keep track of what you are doing where, you will surely overwrite some import on one of the HTPCs.
