P.S. Has anyone else error popups when opening the plugin config? I've got that on my server but when I hit next I am able
to enter the config and from there everything seems to work as it should....

RicoHTPC, the move to this setup was to have this plugin synchronize other folders. In my case, I want my personal photos and videos on every seat, not for performance reasons, but mainly as a backup. Loosing a movie is one thing, but loosing personal memories is another. To do this, I used to use a 3rd party software, but with the enhancements to this plugin, I managed to achieve this functionality by creating a folder set for the thumbs , another one for my pictures and another one for the videos.

As regards to your error, can you advise what error is being prompted?

@JohnDoe: Still the same. The client just updatet the date but not the db. I think the solution was to copy the dbs manually as a initial sync. It seems to work now.

Last problem: Is it right, that the "whatched status" sync just worked in one direction (server to client). I would prefer a bidirectional sync (generally I prefer a bidirectional sync for the whole db).

Crix1990, watched status is bidirectional, i.e. anything watched on client will be reflected to server and back to other clients.

sometimes within a minute
sometimes within a quarter of an hour
and in case of doubt after a reboot of the client.

barneh, it was reported that MPExtended could clash because of locked databases. Unfortunately, I don't use that plugin, so cannot check. MPCleaner does not conflict, so can run freely, although I suggest that you enable only on your master PC as MPSync will then propagate the unnecessary thumbs deletions for you, if you configure it to synchronize thumbs.

Configuration required in MovingPictures and TVSeries is only required to make the respective plugins function. There is no setup required in them for MPSync to work.

For TVSeries, disabling of scraping can be done by going into the "General" tab and un-check "Watch my Import folders for changes automatically". Switching off this setting means that you have to manually import the newly added series on your master PC, then MPSync will propagate to the other clients.

For MovingPictures, to disable scraping you need to do a database change. Open movingpictures.db3 and select table settings, search for key = "importer_gui_enabled" and once found, change value to False. Similar to TVSeries, you now need to import manually newly added movies on your master PC only.

JuRo, when master client and server are on same machine, you should be able to use your original database and thumbs folders. To do this, do not set up MPSync on the master PC. Only set it up on the clients.

Regarding tables, MPSync will synchronize all the tables in the database. The selection presented is only for tables that contain "watched" status as this is an optional feature.
