Hi,
Is it possible to get a light version that only sync watched status?

Because I have tested this plugin for the last month or so, with only one Client and one Server. But I have got a lot of problems where the Server db's for Movies and Tv-Series got fucked up! Problems like the Tv-Series db "loses" the link to the physical file. And if I re-run the import on the Server, it doesn't find these files. So then I have to delete the db and re-run the import of all my Tv-Series. In the Movies db I get wrong fanart for some Movies even that I'm sure it had the right fan art when it was imported to the db - and every other data is right for the Movie. These are all problems I haven't seen before I installed this plugin...

So now I have disabled the sync for Tv-Series and Movies db in MPSync, but then I don't get the option for sync watch status :(
If you only want the watched status synced and you have internet on both client and server. Then you would be better off getting a trakt account. I use it and it works perfectly.

I have Trakt. But Trakt does not sync as fast as MPSync can do...
And Trakt sync only what is finished watched, but what I'm after is the feature where I have watched a Movie for 1 hour on my Server, go to my client and start watch from the same point as I stopped on the Server.

barneh, this is something that could be considered as a future option.

Regarding your problem, to have this plugin working correctly, all clients must be using movies/series from a common location. Also, all imagery must reside in a folder on the individual HTPC, but having exact same name. Eg. of a typical setup:
    1. Movies are on a network drive/server which is accessed by all HTPC. If this has a drive mapping instead of using the qualified name, then the drive must be the same on all HTPCs.
    2. If thumbs folder on main HTPC is named as follows - C:\ProgramData\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\thumbs, then on all other HTPCs, thumbs must be located in the same folder.
If the setup on the main HTPC is different that on the "slave" HTPCs, then you will encounter the issues you are mentioning as this plugin just copies updates done on the main HTPC to the other ones, expecting that all paths are exactly the same.

    Hi,
The Master has the same default install as the Client.... no special path!
But I think the mail reason for my problems is that I didn't do the DB changes that you described. Because on the Clients TV-Series plugin I disabled the look for new episodes, but when I checked it later on it was checked again. Why it enabled itself is a mystery to me, but I guess it has to do with the hands-on that had to be done to TV-Series db. The same goes for the Movies db to, I didn't do the update there either.
So this is why I asked if you could do it trough the plugin ;)

And to be honest, I haven't investigated into why I experience these problems, like looking into the logs that are produced.

I think I still don't get it. Maybe someone can answer:

I have one main htpc (which works as the server and is a client in use too). And I have other clients. What I want is to have the watched time flag synced between all clients. Meaning: start watching recording on main htpc, stop it there, start this recording on other client on the time I left the file on main htpc, stop it on client, and then start again on main htpc on the time I left the file on the client.

As I understand it currently it only syncs into on direction? Or am I doing something wrong?

It should sync both ways... what are you're sync time set to?

    This is my setup:
    Client:
    upload_2013-11-21_15-6-22.png

    upload_2013-11-21_15-6-30.png
    upload_2013-11-21_15-6-40.png

On the main HTPC its similar except the sync direction. There it is client -> server.

    What am I doing wrong?

EDIT: Do I have to set the sync direction always from Client to Server maybe?

    Are anything been synced?
Because I cant see any db's in "Select databases to be Synchronize" window. It should show you the db you got under "\\Frtiz-nas\frits.nas\MPDB\"?

Have you looked at the log files MPSync is producing?
What does the log say if you press "Synchronize Now" button?
