Hi Kroko,

Many thanks for the quick reply. Problem solved by presing the "TV On" button ! However, it does seem to be a bit hit or miss, and when it does work, sometimes i get no sound. Other than that, it's a great plugin. I'll keep an eye on this thread for future developments.

Small status update:

I included the new vlc plugin in my release, so it is possible to record the actual programm. BIG thanks to moiristo for the plugin.

I fixed some EPG related stuff.

Also I was playing a little with the vlc timeshift function.

Everything works so far, but i want to have a more stable version first. Next week i will be in Liverpool UK. Maybe the week after I will find some time.

I'm living also in Germany, but my English is abit poor.
I'll try it even though!

I think the main advantage is that the recording part of Mediaportal is independent of the main programm, so if there is something crashing or hanging, the recording still works.

The second advantage is, that it works as a sevice.

I hope this advantages will let you thinking about it.

Hi,

when i push the TVon Button, I only see the vlc symbol and my DBox hangs up(black screen). When I try http://dbox-ip/control/exec?Y_Live&url I only get "url http://192.168.2.105:31339/0,"
Any suggestions?

GAH are you saying this works fine on a dbox2? I have mine setup and use vlc often but no htpc integration yet. Im using sportster 1.73 image.

Yes it works with the dbox2. Most image will work fine.

Try this : Install VLC and the Activex component. Go to your favorite web browser and type

http://dbox-ip/control/exec?Y_Live&url
you should get something like
http://dbox-ip/0:31339/0,0x006b,0x080d,0x080e

This is the actual stream adress for vlc. Try to open the stream from VLC. It should play your stream. Do not change the channel while streaming.

Try also http://dbox-ip/
You see all programms (EPG) and be able to play live stream.

If this all works it will work with the plugin too.

Is this right? I use the "Keywelt" neutrino image.

Wenn ich mydbox starte verschwindet das Bild auf dem Fernseher (av1) ! Das läßt sich dann auch nur mit einem Reset der Dbox beheben.
