How did you connect the divx filter? It won't connect here.

using GraphStudio v0.3.2.0 Beta.

BTW, I posted updated tests: MediaPortal Pastebin - collaborative debugging tool
(PDVD9 was not working because I only registered the ax, using demo complete install solved the issue)

Simone

I have the same version of Divx and GraphStudio but it won't connect.

Quite strange BTW that MP is almost the opposite in results of GraphStudio

I have been testing all night but i don't have a clue on how to fix the remaining problems, so i can not offer any more than the supplied patch atm. I hope somebody else is able to correctly fix the remaining issues.

Just to note that I was recently experiencing issues with no H.264 codecs working for me using Windows 7 x64 and MP1.0.2.0 but I have recently installed the SAF pack Beta19issue4 from Hoborg and I can successfully use the PDVD9 H.248 codec and I can connect Graphstudio to MP and the graph is correct.

:D

Was the change for the acceptVideoPinTypes in TsReader.cpp not nessesary? According to MSDN this is required to contain all output types that can occur.

Edit: I have been testing now:

Go to tv with TV OFF -> Start HD: OK
Go to tv with TV OFF -> Start SD: OK
Go to tv with TV OFF -> Start SD, ZAP to HD: Not OK, Get to see 1 frame of the last channel.
Go to tv with TV OFF -> Start SD, ZAP to SD: OK
Go to tv with TV OFF -> Start HD, ZAP to HD: OK
Go to tv with TV OFF -> Start HD, ZAP to SD: OK
Go to tv with TV OFF -> Start HD, ZAP to SD, ZAP HD and so on : OK

I will post logging later.

Actually that part of the patch was causing the regsvr32 to crash when registering the TsReader.ax. I'm not sure if that is needed, at least filters seems to connect without that. So I didn't spend any time debugging what was causing the crash.

Go to tv with TV OFF -> Start SD, ZAP to HD: Not OK, Get to see 1 frame of the last channel.

Did you try different codecs? As most of the MPEG2 and H.264 codecs haven't been build for live tv so they might have bugs that get triggered when the video content changes.

Also please create a separate bug report about that issue. Most likely it is a completely different issue in TsReader / MP / video codec.

I will try, and perhaps create a new report.

    Thanks for the info.

Some test with tourettes latest changes.

    A bit background:

My main OS is Xp Sp3. My system spec is in my profile. I recently tried to take a use of a bit older pinnacle 70e usb dvb-t stick.
It's working very good in XP Os, soi stick itself is in order and singal is ok too(takes a 2 second to detect signal quality).

I also have dualboot Windows 7 x86 ultimate for testing. Waiting to be main Os for htpc. With tourettes latest changes in svn
Progress is impressive. With Technotrend s2-3200 both sd and hd work without errors., but pinnacle 70e it not so good.
sd channels are suttering like grazy and GUI is in "sync" with that suttering, like when live tv picture freezes, gui freezes also and
HDD spinns wery loudly during playback live-tv.

In both cards i have Windows 7 beta drivers. I case you don't know Technotrend has also released Windows 7 beta drivers. Found link from german threads, as well as pinnacle(empia beta drivers for Windows 7).

I have no idea if sonething can be foud from logs, but here they are.

    regards,

Nice to know that latest changes are indeed working.

About the issue you are seeing with Pinnacle:

    25-10-2009 22:24:25.899 [a4c]Video Continuity error... d ( prev 1 )
    25-10-2009 22:24:25.913 [a4c]vid:set discontinuity
    25-10-2009 22:24:25.923 [a4c]Video Continuity error... f ( prev 4 )
    25-10-2009 22:24:25.946 [a4c]vid:set discontinuity
    25-10-2009 22:24:25.979 [a4c]Video Continuity error... d ( prev 2 )
    ...

Transport stream that TsReader is receiving is pretty corrupted. If that same device works in Windows XP I would assume that it is the beta drivers that are causing the issue.

Please open a new thread about that issue, it is not related to this patch. Thanks for testing.

Well although these fixes issue with Microsoft DTV-DVD it breaks any other HD(dxva) codec in xp, except Coreavc, and maybe divxHD(i have not tried). None of my Cyberlink H264 codecs(technotrend ver(7) i guess, 8 & 9) work anymore in xp with live-tv HD.They have freezing images every 3 sec and gui is in "sync" with those freezes.

I'm not so familiar with Directshow filter programming, that i can say anything about it, but it just looks like, something is still wrong there.

Or is it so that from now on Win 7 & Xp requires some silghly different code on some cases, for example directshow filters in Mp and Decoder filters from for example Cyberlink.

Or is it so, that Mp TsWriter & TsReader tries to use some general values for accepted pintypes and mediatypes in stream ?. If
mediatypes are detected from the stream received from tuner and then written to tsfile, and then reader parses it from there
and advises decoder with correct mediatypes. Would this be good solution?. Writing this might just prove I know absolutely nothing about the case, but don't care.:D:D

Please post a TsReader, MP & vmr9 / evr logs. If you get some sort of picture then it shouldn't be an issue with the video output pins properties.
