I like the sound of the music overhaul, are the updates available anywhere?

AS far as Updates go, MP is really nice. You can decide the amount of "risk" you want to take:
SVN-Snapshots: Bleeding Edge Functionality, no garanties (but works for me).
Stable Patch Builds: Get some new features which are tested.
Full Versions: Most Stable, you might want to use a patch or two.

With respect to music speed with large collections: I would recommend to use the database views, which will be local (you will need tagged MP3). With those you have nice album / artist / genre etc. views and good speed (I have 15.000 mp3 files).

The overhaul also contains the very nice audioscrobbler features, which i recommend!

Again, thanks all. I think I am pretty well set now to give MP a go. Just slipstreaming an XP CD as I type, getting ready for this weekend.

    Cheers
