A few days ago a PowerDVD Ultra update was released at the Cyberlink side.
However this one works quite bad with TVServer3. On channel change esp. between MPA and AC3 channels sometimes sound is missing, sometimes picture freezes and sometimes MP crashes altogether. Backrev to prior version solves all these problems.

So you should be warned if trying to update to the latest PowerDVD version.

Found with this update, uninstall any codecs you may have, including FFShow.

Install the Cyberlink update, then reinstall any other codecs afterwards, seems to have worked ok.

MPA\MPV and Nvidia have never played nicely with my Vista setup (filter merits over riding selected), so i do not install them.

    Regards

But merits do not influence usage of this codec for Live TV. There are no problems using the codec for playback of media files, the problem is related to Live TV (TVServer3) only.

Yep using version 16542 with EVR, no video\sound hang, channel change 1-2 seconds.

Unless they have done a nvidia, were only Vista users benefit from any improvements, always a possibility.

I just tried it on my two computers(ATI 2400HD and Nvidia 8600GT), works really well. No difference in picture quality though. Running XP MCE on both.

As it seems to be working for others maybe you could share some of your settings to find the difference.

1.) Catalyst version if ATI card is used.
    2.) TV-Plugin settings (perfer AC3, etc...)
    3.) Audio codec used.
    4.) VMR Exclusive mode enabled?
5.) Any process priority settings changed?

    Thank's

    grubi.

Just noticed that Version 3319f was pulled from the Cyberlink web site and a new release 3.5.16 was posted.

    1) Only tried it with my 8600GT, will try the new version on my ATI 2400HD tomorrow.

    2) "Prefer ACR3" - Nope

    3) Nvidia PureVideo

    4) Yes

    5) Nope

That could explain why it is working for you. I have Prefer AC3 enabled and the problem only exists when switching between AC3 and MPA channels.
