Stupid question... in multiseat config, as there's no handle of mpe1 file on TVServer, how to install?

No way to download the dll file?

I found nothing into the wiki.

Do I have to use this alpha to get dll files for the TVServer ? : https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/threads/powerscheduler-integrated-in-mediaportal.115368/
Search in this thread and you will find what you are looking for...

Michael, I searched in this thread until page 65 and found nothing. Could you send me these files or update your first post?

Thanks a lot!

We had the discussion several times in the forum: I would not recommend to install the dlls, but install the client software on the server and then install PS++ with the MPEI. The client software does no harm at all and you have an update mechanism for the plugins.

Why do you think this is off-topic? PS++ puts the server into sleep mode. The client in multiseat configuration wakes up the server only if it attempts to access the TV library on the server but can't to wake the server when the client attempt to access the video or music library on the server. Unless you limit the scope of PS++ to TV operations only which would be a little disappointing because all the client needs to do it to automatically send the magic packet to the server when trying to access the video or music library same manner it does for TV.

By the way, I was able to wake the server manually from the client by running the Depicus WolCmd.exe command mode using the following syntax:
wolcmd [mac address] [ip address] [subnet mask] [port number]. However running the command manually is my workaround.

I have a multiseat configuration and my MP TV server wakes up fine from the client PC if I try to access TV. But the server doesn't wake up if I try to access the file share. And also sometimes I need to wake the server PT remotely to without MP running on my client. I tried to use Depicus WOL utility from http://www.depicus.com (command and GUI), but it didn't work for me. I used default port 7.

    Any ideas?
Since this is off-topic (no PS++ specific problem) you should post your issue in another forum / thread.

    Hi,
I there a way to simply not let the TV-Server to prevent suspend mode?

The situation, at least in my case, is very simple:
I am using Windows 8. When TV service is running, the computer does not get into suspend mode. When TV service is shutdown, computer goes into suspend mode as needed.

I would have preferred a way to just avoid the problem. But anyway, PowerScedualer++ seems to not work for me. It seems to not have any influence.

    Thanks.

I do not understand exactly what you want the system to do or not to do, but: this behaviour is not ok and you should send logs so that I can see, why your system does not go to standby.

I only want it to let Windows handle power management and go to suspend when possible. It works fine as long as the TV server is off. So might it be a problem in TVServer? Why is there a need for a plug-in that will do the power management? And even if there is a need for a plugin, I think in this case it could just handle situations for letting the computer go into suspend mode rather than situations for putting the computer into suspend mode.
For some people the power management of Windows does not work well, and then the plugin as it is does the job. But when the Windows power management works well, and it is clearly the TVServer which prevents suspend mode, taking care of the problem in TVServer would be the best.

Apparently needs a restart after setting the plugin, and then the plugin works. But I would still like to let Windows do it without enforcing suspend mode.

By plug'n'play mode windows will do all the power management and PowerScheduler will NOT put your pc to sleep but will prevent it by user defined scenarious. So what is your problem?

Ok I'm back after installing last powerscheduler++ on clients on server

In the following log, I wanna know what keep my TVServer alive when I'm watching a movie (movingpictures) on a client. As my movies files, database files, thumbs files aren't on my TVServer and I'm not watching TV, why keeping the TVServer alive. I made some tests and my clients works well when TVServer is off (expect for watching tv ;-) )

Clients standby work well and tvserver also but only when client are gone.

Here is a log with one client on, watching a movie on my NAS and TVServer is not needed anymore.

I think that the only thing which keep the TVServer alive is this line : [PS StandbyWakeup(14)]: PS: Inspecting Remote Client: AwayModeRequested

Can you explain me if there's a way to let the TVServer sleeping in this case? I configured WOL power management to wake up the TVServer when entering in TV views on both clients so I don't need the TVServer alive anymore when playing other medias.

Tell me if more logs are needed.

    Thank you!

This is the way it is designed - the tv server stays on until the last client is in standby (or off). There is no distinction made why the client is active, since the server usage is different for each installation (e.g. many people have their videos and music on the tv server and need it to be active while playing videos).
