Try using the MCE standby tool, just to make sure your standby settings are optimal, you should not be having this problem of standby if MP is playing anything.

But the whole standby thing works really great and I had not a single problem with it when using MP 0.2.3 without tvserver.

Addition: It seems that it works one of four times. However if it fails it is even not possible to watch tv with
MP anymore. You have to completely reboot

Ok to get a similar behavour with TVServer in single seat setup as with the built in TVengine you can disable "shutodwn server after ...." in TVServer Config (see screenshot 2). Then the machine is shutdown as setup in MP PWScheduler plugin when beeing idle in home screen.

The reinitialize service setting (see screenshot 1) seems to solve the problems I have after wakeup. However I did not test it excessively.

Try the standby tool, make sure the option to shutdown MediaPortal prior to standby is selected.

noticed you are using hibernate, is there a reason for this, ie you cannot get standby to work.

Sorry to harp on about the MST, but it configures XP's standby\hibernate function very nicely and does solve a lot of issues, especially on resume with recordings failing.

Ok I will try the MCE tool. :D

Where do I find the option to shutdown MediaPortal prior to standby (Is it a option of the MCE tool or of MP)?
The reason for hibernate is that the power led of my case is constantly flashing on standby and that I used hibernate successfully with MP (without tvserver) for a long time.

Seems that the whole PWRSched thing in TVServer is quite broken for single seat. From a Windows perspetive I have absolutely not problem with standby and hibernate. The problems I have are inside of MP. As soon as I enable shutdown in both plugins I sometimes have a shutdown during music playback.

It's not broken. It works for me since I switched to TV Server :) So maybe it doesn't work for all, but it does work for others.

Take my apologize but my brain seems to be broken. I just noticed that I did not disable the standalone PowerScheduler plugin of MP  so there were 3 PowerSched plugins active and I assume this was causing that strange result. Will do some tests aginan.

    :sorry:

I had the same problem... and now it works really fine, without MST or PVRScheduler.
What I had to do btw, was to enable "Reinitialize Serverice...." in TV Server config, to get MP to work flawless

    ;)

Same here. Without that option the whole TVService seems to be broken after wakeup, but enabling
    seems to fix it reliable.
