hi, how do i keep mp from starting automatically?
prevent starting up at boot (1 Viewer)

MP config\general, untick the autostart mediaportal with windows option.
or did you mean TVServer, which runs all the time as its a windows service.

maybe setting loglevel to debug might pinpoint the difference between normal and stuck?
Preferable with as much disabled as possible
also try to see if anything is happening during stuck for the mediaportal process(resource monitor, disk activity, cpu usage, anything)
maybe other programs competing for resouces?

Since over a year my MP sometimes stucks while showing the welcome screen. It started once a week now it happens every second time...

When I import new films using Moving Pictures, it takes an incredibly long time for the information to be found and downloaded...
