No Preview TV Server

I had the same problem. I did redid my PC with fresh install of WinXP SP3 & MP ver 1.0.2. I have Haupauge MCE 500 Cards. On the recomendation above I installed video codec. I installed Ffdshow and noticed I was getting audio no video. So I installed Power DVD 9 Codec and My preview started working. To install Power Dvd codec follow SAF thread.https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/codecs-external-players-55/saf-v4-00rc1-standalone-filters-dxva-ready-mpeg2-h-264-vc-1-a-44614/

Then register the filter by placing filter in C: drive then Click start menu. Run. (Type) regsvr32 "C:\CLVsd.ax"

Hope this helps someone else.

Thanx Kyght Ryder,

I tried your tips but still have no preview in my tvServer (or MP for that matter).
It looks like the tvServer is having a problem with finding audio:

2009-10-07 22:39:39.875000 [12]: card: WaitForTimeShiftFile - waiting _eventAudio & _eventVideo
2009-10-07 22:39:54.875000 [12]: card: WaitForTimeShiftFile - no audio was found after 15 seconds

Still do not know how to solve this

I don't know if this is related to your problem but I had the same symptoms ans I had set the recording and time shifting folders on my file server (different machine). Pointed them back to a local folders and it works fine now.

The card was working fine with other softwares.

Thanx for your reply, I already executed that option, but it did not work for me, still have these problems.
Currently I can watch TV on my Home Cinema Setup (not with MP by the way)
I am using Windows 7 on my PC with TV card and MCE, this works ok,
then I use my Xbox360 as an MCE extender with this option I am able to watch TV on my Home Cinema Set.

Currently I am looking around for a new TV card, Which I can install on my HTPC.
Since I do not have any PCI slots left I have to move to a USB option, which are available.

Regards
