Windowed mode in B3W either flickers when you play back music that has a thumb or shows no thumb at all. This happens in windows where you have the video/audio preview showing, only not in MyHome and MyPluginsHome. Here the window works as it should.

I cannot see what more info you would want, besides that 2 others experinece the same: https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-beta-1-released-69653/index7.html#post503274

    Hi,

I can confirm. This also happens in Blue3.

Go to 'my music'. Select an album, and hit 'play'. Then hit 'home'. There is flickering in the top-left corner of the screen for me as well.

One of the team members has agreed to have a look at this problem.

    Best wishes,

    Mark

Regaring which other info we might need..... the :GUIDELINE: clearly says which we need.
    • LOGS in example since they contain useful info, even if there is no ERROR logged.
    • COMPLETE SYSTEM SPECS since using NVIDIA or ATI cards (models/driver version) makes a BIG difference

again ALL THAT IS INSIDE THE GUIDLINE!
And i have no clue why we have to keep on begging everyone to FOLLOW IT.
I will surely soon stop to do so and just ignore those incomplete, so called "bugreports" since they are just take way too much time to process.
Everyone should keep that in mind when posting BUGREPORTS

    for the record.
    I can not confirm that issue under W7 64bit using GForce 9600 + 190.62 drivers running Blue3wide.

Also happens in full screen as well as windowed mode. It is helpful if you test this before reporting, as your report implies that this problem is restricted to windowed mode.

    Best wishes,

Do you see the thumb of the music playing under "My Radio"?

@elliottmc: What I meant with windowed mode was that it was when the small preview-window was visible, should have been more clear, sorry.

Edit: Logs attached. Windows XP SP3 on ATi Radeon Xpress 1150.

Edit2: The user who could not post the bugreport has this setup:

"Anyway, I'm using Vista Business x64 SP2 and a Geforce 8300 (IGP) with Forceware 190.38"

    Chris,

I have GeForce 8500 with Windows Vista 32 bit, and can definitely confirm.

    It's not an ATI issue.

I will provide logs later if this cannot be fixed without.

Yes. This is a different shape overlay (square), and the album cover is displayed correctly. There are a couple of icons to the right of the overlay, which look like 'play' and 'pause' (but are not accessible using remote). I also see these on 'home' but as part of the flicker. My guess is that these are being displayed overlapping with the rectangular overlay.

    Hi,

i have test the stuff now and the problem is the videopreview window (ID9) in musicoverlay.
The Problem ocours only if visualisation is disabled and the thumb is shown.
If i set for test the videowindow to (ID99) the flickering is gone, but then we have no thumb.

Thats no problem of the skin, it has allways works fine before, there must be a bug with the videowindow (ID9) in MP Code. But i can not say what changes the bug has come up.

In other skins, it can be worked, because they don´t use the musicoverlay or not use the videowindow with ID9, but then they will have no visualisation there or no thumb.

    Greetings Harley

    Harley,

    Thanks for looking at this.

The problem is still present in SVN 23344, which is prior to some recent overlay fixes. I will try with even earlier versions tomorrow to see where it starts.
