I've installed the latest SVN and some new problems occure. I'm pretty sure they have to do with the option added with the following description

MediaPortal Music
15/12/2006 [10:31h] hwahrmann added:
Allow selection of Sound Device for BASS Audio engine

I have the option to select the audiocard BASS is supposed to use. But the setup does not remember or maby even never applie the setting. After setting the option, closing the setup and returning to the setup the setting is returned to it's default.
I'm not sure if the following only occures after trying to change the default soundcard for the BASS engine, or if it occures directly after installing the SVN, because I went right ahead and set the new default soundcard, without starting MP first. But I can't play any music anymore. Last.FM radio and My Music give no sound anymore (I use BASS for Last.FM to). Actualy, there is no response of either of the plugins. I can enter the involving screens, but nothing happens when trying to play music.

Watching TV works perfectly with sound. I guess the TVserver uses the other soundengine(?). When selecting the internal soundengine I can listen to music again.

    Hi,
This was fixed before you posted by hwahrmann, from revision12206 & above should be good. ;)

The error log shows a error with burner, not related to this.

Has anyone else noticed that with the latest svn that when MP comes out of hibernation the PC's audio is OFF.

    SVN 12209 and 12218

The only way to get the audio back is to restart MP.

Other apps and games are also affected until MP has restarted..

Very odd, it is as though MP is changing the PC's default sound settings to 'null' .

    Hi,
SciDoctor, tested here with revision 12218 & it works fine. Audio working fine after hibernation (tested several times). Could it be soundcard related?

    Regards

Thanks for testing at your end.

I'll put it down to a freak occurance on the two quite different systems but keep an eye (ear) on it and see if it occurs again and if the logs catch anything (nothing so far)
