Hi everyone

I received my brand new Duoflex CT DVB PCIe card yesterday from DD and I installed it i my computer. But when I boot the computer I will ondly hear a beep and it wouldnt boot up at all (nothing on the screen). Then I removed the card and its was booting up again. Pushed the card in again and restart, same beep and nothing else.

Do I need to connect the floppy power cable like it should be done with the CI module? I tried the Duoflex card without the CI and with CI+floppy power connector (as it says on my paper from DD). Same thing.

Has someone else get this error or is it broken?

Digital Devices has no supportmail or forum but I have mailed them but they haven't answerd yet.

My mobo is a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3, I have a Core 2 Duo E6750 and 4 GB RAM.

    Hi Nybbe!

I use the duoflex DVB for Sat. I'm pretty sure there's no big difference while booting Win.

I boot my PC with and without the floppy power connected and never saw any problem.

I'm afraid it sounds like a hardware problem with your new card. :( The support from DD is really fast, maybe you'll better ask there what's the problem.

Are you sure your mobo support the right PCI-Express revision?
Why I ask is that I did experience the same thing but with a GFX card (ATI HD5570) where that card was PCI-E 2.1 but it turns out my mobo was only PCI-E 1.0a... My PC behaved just like yours, it just beeped and all fans was going at full speed. When I removed the card all was fine again. Eventually I bought a Nvidia GT430 whcih was PCI-E 2.0 which is backward compatible with PCI-E 1.0a...

    Just a tip.

pnyberg, sounds like the same thing. My fans starts up higher when I powerup.

But how do I know if my modo has version 1, 2 or 2.1? Cant find any version info from Gigabyte. And I cant find anything on DD's homepage thats says that the requirements are version 2.* for the card?

Info from Wikipedia.org: "PCIe 2.0 cards are also generally backward compatible with PCIe 1.x motherboards"

Does anyone have a support connection to DD? I haven't get any answer yet from them.

    naich,
Thanks man. My wife are from Germany so there should not be any problem I think.

But this card must be broken (or a real joke). Now I have tried with another computer, my real HTPC, with a Gigabyte GA-G33M-S2H, 2 Ghz C2Duo. It doesn't sound anything but now I cant get any picture, not from my ATI2600HD or onboard Intel GMA3100. Then I connect to the computer with RDP and tried to install the driver. But I really not understand what to to, convert transponder files and so on (WTF?). And I didn't find anything in the device manager. And (because of this) MP TVserver config don't find anything either.

Im really starting to regret this card now, I should have bought another Floppy DTV instead (or a couple bottles of Bowmore....)

indeed that helps, und schöne Grüße :D

sounds really like broken hardware ... contact them and try to get help!

PS. I (and also some of my friends) use this card without any problem. fast, and less power consumption.

Sounds like the card is broken if it messes up two boards. But what kappens if you try one of the other pci-slots on the board?
