Its seams i have been having problems with HD channels. When starting a HD channel with EVR ...MP stops responding. With VMR9 it crashses MP with an error.

Ok, i´ve done some testing. Its seams that it must be the tswriter. I installed the old version 2.3.0 and it seams to work with that HD channel. Ive tested both with VLC player and with RC2 it crashes the VLC player. But with 0.2.3 version it works fine.

Sorry to cross-post in another thread but I have the same issue with RC2 just a few posts down. My recordings stutter and so does live view when recording on HD channels and I have a sh%$ load of these errors in my log.

I haven't solved my issue yet as I am waiting for some guidance on what I should look at.

That simply means that your signal to the TV card is really bad. currently TsReader drops all corrupted video frames that contain errors (to make sure no decoder is crashing) and this is causing the stutter.

For 1.0.1 its planned to allow user chose between frame dropping and having good "luck" with the video decoder :)

I was having the stutter problem after I installed a new dual DVB-T tuner card into my HTPC to go with an existing single DVB-T. Once I replaced the cheap splitter with a powered splitter and made sure all my cabling was quad-shielded, the stuttering stopped. I had to rescan all the channels after installing the powered splitter. I am using the latest SVN with RC2.

    Thanks for the advise...

I did kind of suspect that could be a cause. My cabling is pretty poor to the HTPC and I use a crappt T splitter to goto my TV and HTPC but cable distances are pretty short. First thing I have read about the "continuity errors" being related to poor signal not something else so this already points me in the direction to install better cable and re-test.

    See how I go.

    :D

is there anyway to compile a version of tsreader without this checking thing?

Since i have all the code downloaded it would be easy to change it ...if i knew where to find it.

I havent had time to check how the frame dropping is handled in the code level. Ambass should be able to tell you how to disable that.

Well I haven't replaced my cable but did do a test with just a cable from wall socket to HTPC and I still have skips. The only thing I haven't tried is propper quad cable and a booster but I do live 5km line of site from the main broadcasting antenna in the city and reception is top notch. But I know this doesn't mean sh&% if the cabling is crappy and the signal gets interferance etc.

I have been looking in svn´s revision history...with TortoiseSVN, and can´t find anything, so yah i guess im gonna send Ambass a little message.

About cable, i have a power supply on in every room, and my signal value is 100 %, so i really dont know about that. I guess it could be my cable company also. So ill try calling them today, and see what they say.
