Hey guys, I have 2 computers:

PC1 : Has Tv server and client
PC2 : Has Client

Problem is that PC2 has TV playback with a lot corruption and stuttering (discontinuity errors in TsReader), even the recorded files (on PC1) are crap when played in VLC ect when the recordings are made from PC2. However if mediaportal is running on PC1 (no tv cards activated), PC2 magically has perfect playback/recordings are fine. Is there any reason why the client pc is not properly activating the tv server? Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Hi jackpenno

The recordings are always made on the server (PC1). Maybe you meant "played from PC2"?

Clients should be independent. It could be network related, but that would be a complete guess. If you want further help, please could you provide *full* logs showing the situation:

    Hey mm,

Thanks for responding, i meant the client on PC2 connected to the tv server on PC1, issued the recording, however the issue is not playback related as the recorded file on PC1 has errors (played in VLC/mediaportal whatever). So for whatever reason the TV server is not operating effectively (streaming/recording) unless a client is running on the same computer. For now i have decided to revert back to a single seat setup.

    Cheers,
    Jack
