Hi! I have a "problem" with tv server stream not showing in right resolution. TV server is functioning correctly and Programms are recording OK and in right resolution (720x576).
But if I want to view LiveTV I get 16:9 acpect ratio picture (streched) although Zoom is set to normal. I sifted through logs and I saw that the resultion TV server is streaming is reported as 1024x576 and not 720x576 as it should be.

Is there some configuration option where I can set resolution?

    720/576 = 1.25 = 5:4
    766/576 = 1.33 = 4:3
    1024/576 = 1.78 = 16:9

Even though PAL tv is interpreted as 720x576 pixels (on DVD for instance), the logical content is normally 4:3 aspect. This means that a PAL picture should be stretched to 766x576 if displayed on a display featuring rectangular pixels. Does MP do this?

If the content is flagged as anamorphic widescreen it would probably be rendered as 1024x576 somewhere along the chain. Is that what is happening?

I'd just like to add that I'm also experiencing this problem. The server is correctly recognizing the video (based on previewing from the server) from the S-video connection of my Dish Network receiver to the S-video connection on my Hauppauge PVR-250MCE. This video is in standard NTSC 4:3 format. When I play on the client (on the same computer), the image is stretched no matter what aspect ratio I choose. I didn't have this problem until I upgraded to the client/server setup, and after messing around with it for a couple of hours I cannot find any setting to override this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I noticed that when watching Live TV fom an other client computer the aspect ration is ok, but when watching on the same computer ehre the TV Server is located it's the aspect is wide.

Cause: TV Server + MPV codec
Workaround: Use DScaler, NVidia, or other codec

I found a workaround for the problem. Just use any other video codec other than MPV and it should be fine. I tried with DScaler and NVidea PureVideo and decided to use DScaler. This is definitely a bug, though, as I was using MPV to decode my TV before I went to the TV server and it worked just fine.

Yep, that seems to do the trick, but unfortunatly other video codecs don't seem to work as smootly compared to MPV.
