Well, the "strange" characters do not appear to be my problem. I deleted the old db, then re-imported my collection. It grabbed all the banners. So now I will wait to see what happens when I add a "new" series. BTW, I checked the parsing test using the config\plug-ins\my-tv series, and it failed on nothing, so still a question there.

:D

Bump - me too. Can't spot any strange characters in either episode/series names or in the filenames (apart from the usual []'s and .'s). There were some server changes happening at tvdb a week or two ago - perhaps it's related/exposed a parsing bug in the plugin?

    Cheers,

    Rob.

UPDATE: I did find a comma in one of my files' name (actually a couple of commas). Deleted the database and the thumbs folders and reimported. Found the commas halfway through the import process - which was taking ages with no banners - and either the name change to remove commas or a screen refresh caused the banners to show.

I've now added a string replacement for commas in my config, so we'll see how things go from here.

    Have the same problem..
its only for shows that it import by it self.
like if i move file to the tv dir, and it imports it, and adds the show, banner+images missing.

what i have to do to get them is to, run config, plug-in, in the plug-in i press the import and it will run, for some time and check all shows are up to date, and it will DL banner+image..

So for me its a Bug, in plug-in, not dl banner+image, under selv/auto show import..

How does this sound to you dudes?

I have found that auto-d/ling banners/ep images stops working when the plugin encounters a series that is still represented in the database but has no physical episodes on the harddrive. For example, I have Californication as a show in my list, but recently deleted watched episodes, leaving the directory empty. The plugin keeps the show in the database (while removing it from the UI) which is cool, cuz it means when I add the next epsiode it won't have to grab everything again, but it searching for banners or ep images, automatically, stops working when it hits this entry.

Fixed this issue back in May: r313 - mptvseries - Google Code (This was after v2.0 Stable).

    Try the latest test build.

No Banners loading - similar issue

I have tried the most recent (SVN) release and still have the same problem. I have tried (most) everything mentioned previously in this thread. When I 'dump' then re-import the programs, it downloads the banners/posters/episode images, but they don't get linked to the plugin (i.e. I don't see them from within the plugin nor within MP when I select My TV Series).

Could it be, perhaps, that I have MP set up for multiple access? I have the database and thumb files in a separate networked location. It seems to work for everything else, my only thought is maybe this plugin gets confused when it goes to look for the images.

Hopefully I am not too confusing.

Let me know what I should post to give you more information.

    Thanks.

I have tried the latest SVN as well and tested out what would happen if I physically deleted a (watched) season from the HD.
Well it now retrieves everything it should, except that it still gives the error "None of these episodes could be identified (Possible reasons: Wrong filename/Online Database does not have these episodes)" in the log, which is a bit strange because at the end of the log it shows that those episodes could be retrieved.

So the bug is resolved, but in the process there is still a minor hickup. Luckely it doesn't have effect on the endresult: everything nicely imported :D

See r370 - mptvseries - Google Code The issue has been fixed since last test build.
