It's not, TV doesn't work then... Dunno if we get it working for you, this could take some time, if ever.

In the meantime, you have to use hauppauge's Ir.exe and disable MP's internal support.

When there will be something to test, I'll let you know, but don't expect it too soon (if ever).

mPod, I don't know what you mean. The new dll works without any problems, I can see TV, use the EPG ect all by my Hauppauge remote using your dll, and it is enabled via the MP configuration program.

The only thing is that the blaster doesn't seem to be able to change channels on my sat box. But I'm not sure whether it is related, because even after closing MP, and using the Hauppauge blaster configuration tool, I'm not able to change channels anymore?? My sat box does not respond, eventhough I can see the blaster is blinking - it is probably something else (At the moment there is a lot of sunshine?)

So for mee your remoteplugin.dll and the newest svn is working perfect - I don't see any problems.

As soon as I enable the remote, MP either freezes when entering MyTV or says that all recorders are busy. This also happened long time ago, which made me outsource the code to hcwhelper.exe. This happened on my old PC and also with the current one I have.
My problem is now, it might be okay for you both, but what will happen with all other Hauppauge remote users? If not even my machine won't work, what happens to the rest out there?
I'm in a kind of dilemma now. Should I risk investing the work and possibly break remote support for many more users or better stick with the current code which works for everyone except of users using danish or swedish XP?
About your blaster thing, I'm a bit touchy now. It would be good if you can find out what's the reason for it. We gotta be careful not to throw in unrelated stuff, but may not ignore the smallest glitch either.

Dear mPod, I realy appreciate the time and help you have been giving me.
I have been testing Mediaportal with the new remoteplugin.dll, and everything works beatifully. I can't see any problems at all with this.

The problem I had with the blaster is also solved, I think the problem was the very bright sunlight, and I also suspect that my children had displaced the blaster a bit. After it was realigned on the sat box - everything is working again. Mediaportal changes the channels on my sat box as it is supposed to do.
So from my side everything is good and I'm a happy Mediaportal user.

I have a few questions:
1. Would it be possible to have two different remoteplugin.dll's. One that is used on swedish and danish versions, and another wich is used on all other windows versions?

2. Do you know what caused the problem? and why does the new remoteplugin.dll work for us and not for you??

Please get latest SVN, verify than it still crashes and exchange your MediaPortal.exe with this one after that. Then try again and report what happens.

Another try, nothing stable or anything, just to check things again (standby/hibernate/resume problems will be in this version).

Hi mPod. I'm happy that you haven't given up on us.

I tried the lates svn: 9914, it still crashes when the Hauppauge remote is enabled.
Then I copied the new Mediaportal.exe file into the directory, and now MP starts without any crashes even with the remote enabled.
As I'm not at home right now, I can't check whether the remote is working, but at least it starts without any error.

Edit: When closing MP (pressing the x in upper right corner), an error is produced , stating that HcwHelper has encountered a problem and needs to close.

Okay, that's something I can work on now... Again, I'll let you know when there's something to test.

When time & at home, it would be good if you could come to IRC again.
