problems installing tv engine (1 Viewer)

I'm installing Mediaportal for the first time, but I'm having problems.
Everytime i'm trying to install the SETUP-file in the MediaPortal TV-Server, I'm getting a Message saying, that an unexpected error has been detected. Error code 2869.

What can be wrong?

provided you have followed all the instructions carefully, then the only other thing I can think of is that maybe don net v3 is needed.
Not having this will give you errors with the main MP, so maybe TV engine needs it too.

Type "2869" into search, it will give you the answer for your Vista problem

You need to run setup.msi as an administrator. Vista won't let you right click msi files to run as administrator however you can open the start menu, type cmd, right click and select Run as Administrator and run the msi file from there.
