Problems streaming to iPhone over internet (1 Viewer)

Hi Oxan,

Thanks for that new release. Looks like Direct-Streaming via Internet does work now. Many thanks for that.
But streaming to Iphone via Internet does still not work. No Live-TV / Recordings or Movies will play. Local via LAN everything is smooth.
I tested Option 2 and 3 without no success ( Direct if possible / with Proxy ). IIRC you mentioned somewhere that the playlist might be broken.
Is there any way to help - Log´s still shows no problems ?

At least one question - why didn´t you upgrade vlc 2.02 to 2.05 or 2.06 ?

Even if you think there's nothing in the logs; still post them please. It's really hard to say anything without even knowing where it goes wrong.

A VLC upgrade has caused problems in the past (things that used to work were broken), and I haven't seen a single problem caused by using a slightly outdated VLC.

That's not relevant; since we don't use smooth streaming.

Via LAN it works perfect.
For the WAN stuff i have tried all 3 settings - without success.

Oh no, that's not needed.

Indeed ... I'm using a Cisco and NAT has been configured. But i don't think that this explains the problem. Recording and TV is working fine with Flash or the VLC Plugin.

Not working is playing the stuff by downloading the PLS file. The File contain the Port 8080 instead the Port wich i'm using for the NAT. Maybe that is also the problem with the IPhone?

Ah, I see. Turns out that it's my fault: I didn't know .NET does some URL rewriting which loses the original requested port in the progress... Will be fixed for 0.5.5 (once I figure out how).
