    Hi,

I've been using TV server for quite a long time now - and the results are really getting there - but the one feature I haven't had for a long time (basically since I switch to TV Server) is timeshifting...

I can't rwd/ffd at all and skipping +/- is extremely hit and miss.

With the skipping -15secs it never works the 1st or 2nd time I try it but then the 3rd time I try it it works but takes me back more than 15seconds - it as if it takes me back 45seconds. The other interesting thing is after it 'works' it continues to work until I get back to the "end" or live point and then it exhibits the same behaviour as it did at the start...

It's weird because the skipping works very well in recorded tv

TV-Server Version: 16867 multi seat implementation
    MediaPortal Version: 2.3 16867
MediaPortal Skin: xface (problem same with bluetwo)
Windows Version: Vista ultimate (problem same on XP Pro)
    CPU Type: core2 duo
    HDD: 250Gb
    Memory: 2GB
    Video Card: ATI HD2600XT
    Video Card Driver: ATI
    1. TV Card: Hauppauge PVR250
    1. TV Card Type: analog
    2. TV Card: kworld
    2. TV Card Type: PCIe DVB-T
MPEG2 Video Codec: PowerDVD (same under MPV and dscaler)
MPEG2 Audio Codec: MPA (same with others)

    I've attached a few logs:

1st set: showing from MP load to playing live tv and then 3 attempts to skip back 15sec - the 3rd attempt works.

2nd set: showing from starting to play live tv and then attempting to rewind - when I press rewind I just see a paused frame on the TV (it's as if I've paused) and then when I press play it plays on from the current live point.

3rd set: shows from starting a recorded tv show - shows me skipping around quite happily!

One question I have: Should I be concerned about the entries with "no DX error" - does that say there is an error or not (i.e. should it read no-dx error or just no dx error?) eg: VMR9Helper: enabled YUV mixing - No DX Error

Thanks in advance for your help :)

    Hi Guys,

I thought it might help if I also uploaded the streaming server log for the same period. Let me know if any other logs would help.

Has anyone else seen this?? I can't believe I'm the only one - I've seen exactly the same behaviour with LOTs of different hardware and software setup (i.e. Vista server / XP server & vista client and XP client)...

Unless it's a configuration error on my part - is there something I'm missing? Perhaps with the timeshifting file configuration???

Any help would be hugely apprecaited.
