I had this problem when using RC3 also but didn't care, decided to wait for the final release and in the meantime i went back to RC2.
Sometimes the channel change is ok in about 3 seconds, but sometimes i choose a new channel but
the current channel is still playing and there's no possibility to make any commands. But after maybe 6-9 seconds the screen is black and 3 seconds later the channel
has been changed, and always when this phenomena happens the timeshifting continues way back in the file so i have to push then right
button to get back to the live position.

In the log i have a channel change 2008-12-23 18:09:30
(there should not be more then 1 second difference between the server and client logs)

Have looked into the log and TvService is always waiting for the timeshift file but when i look in TsWriter log there seem to be no problem. Does someone know if there is some better settings for the timeshift file or what to do about this.

Can someone please look at this. I didn't experience this with RC2. 80% of all the times when i change channel
i have this problem. In the TVServer log there always "Wait for timeshift file" and then timed out.

Same thing here. Sometimes is working ok, sometimes not. I've replaced tsreader.ax from rc4 and so far is working ok.

Yep I get this as well, since RC4.

Now with MP1.0 I also can not change channels by using the up/down button on my remote when viewing, the new channel banner appears correctly at the bottom of the screen but just stays there and never actually changes channel, I have to use "back" to get to the EPG to change a channel, this can be very hit or miss, sometimes changing quickly but most times it will just stay on the same channel but go back 5 mins in time?? and replay from there. Something very wrong here I think.

I will try this also to see if it's working better. Does someone know what is planned for the future is the tsreader and tswriter going to be replaced by something else,
because seeking in as TS file is also not possible and Developers say that it's hard to resolve with the current system.

Still the same problem with tsreader from rc4.

No, it's working much better with this solution thanks!

The only thing when you change channel now is that it jumps back to the begginning of the timeshift file so
i have to push right button to come back to the live position.

I had this problem also (channel change ->starting beginning of ts buffer) in MP1
the solution for me was turning off epg grabbing while timeshifting!

    cheers
