    MPEG2 Audio Codec: Cyberlink PowerDVD

Cyberlink's audio codec is known to cause many issues with live tv. Please use ffdshow for example.

Have tried ffdshow now as audio codec and also MPV as audio and video but still same thing that it's jumping back to the beginning.

Could be a bug in thimeshifting EPG grabbing code. If you have that feature enabled, please try disabling it.

I had this problem also (channel change ->starting beginning of ts buffer) in MP1
the solution for me was turning off epg grabbing while timeshifting!

Have now solved the problem, i restarted the Server Computer today and afterwards one tv card was missing. But now my problems was gone. I uninstalled Mediaportal and then the drivers for the tv card and then installed everything again. I dont know Zeee if you can also uninstall your tv card or cards and see if it's working better. Cause now i'm using the newest TS writer without problem.

Yup, I have seen this behaviour too. I am using EPG, but it's not enabled when time shifting. Cannot disable EPG as I cannot live without it.

I am getting this problem and I do not use the epg grab during timeshifting! I am also getting a related problem that started at the same time when I use "back" to access the EPG or if I get an onscreen banner the sound Slows down? (Drops in pitch) only way I can find to get out of it is to change channel then change back again, both these problems started for me with MP1.0 RC4 on a clean windows XP SP3 install and clean install of MP.

have you guys checked different codecs, and if they are REALLY used? Use graphedit to check, or the debug mode of mp.

I had some issues with my laptop, where the codecs configured have not been used. In my opinon PDVD 7.3 ultra still is the codec of choice...

just a guess though but this could also be codec related....

    cheers

Just like to add I've been seeing this problem on MP1.0.

Turning off EPG grabbing while timeshifting/recording seems to have fixed it.

    Cheers
