Hello Community,

i have some problems setting up my mediaportal Tv Service using the IPTV Provider AON in Austria. Tthe includet chanel List works fine but many chanels are not workinig so i got the new chanel list from AonTV Wiki. Now i can only watch the MPEG2 Chanels. I can record the MPEG 4 Chanels and then watch the ts file but not live. I tryed several H264 Codecs (ffdshow, divx, coreavc).

Do you have any ideas?

EDIT: I've Uploadet my TSReader Log

AW: Problems with IPTV and MPEG4 streams

maybe some additional information:

- scanning the chanels in tvsetup works fine, but when i try the "preview button" there is only a blank white screen (box) and no audio. when i open the timeshifting file in windows media player it works.

- Also when i try to open the chanels in vlc it works...

Hello Schaudi, which version of IPTV Source filter do you use? Original from installation (btw. which version of MP do you use?) or new one from this thread (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...-ip-mediaportal-iptv-filter-96726/#post747291)

You problem also may be related to this one (https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...roblem-dvb-ip-channels-changed-sid-pid-96687/)

Just tried the new IPTV Source Filter --> Nothing works at all (running 1.1.3.0 with the new filter) so I went back to the original MPIPTVSource.ax version!

Cheers, Martin

    Hi

You should test the h.264 channels in MP after configuring the TV codec settings in MediaPortal configuration. The preview function uses the codecs with the highest "merit" in the system. The codecs with the highest merit are not necessarily the ones you would expect if you haven't used something like Filmerit to set merits. In other words:

    - the MediaPortal codec settings do not apply to the preview function
    - preview does not necessarily work

Re: AW: Re: Problems with IPTV and MPEG4 streams

Who can make this file run in mediaportal???

    I can! :D
If you change the extension to MPG then it plays. It has to be something about the way that TS files are handled, or maybe something about the internal structure of the stream, or maybe something about the wrapping (container) - looks like TsReader thinks there are lots of video continuity errors, which is probably why it doesn't play. Obviously you can't change the extension for a live stream, but at least you can record and play the recordings later...
