    Hi,

not sure if this has been brought up already but one thing that is bugging me is that I have to open MPTvSeries so it will regocnise new episodes/updates the library. How about a processing plugin that does this automatically in the background as soon as MediaPortal starts? This way the "recently added" items could also be updated without the user having to launch the plugin first.

    Thoughts? ;)

    :D

What? You don't have to open the plugin to refresh data. It does so on it's own. For local shares updates are done split second something has changed, on network drives every XX minutes (configurable).

Hm? How would that be possible for a window plugin? If I add an episode to the directory (with mediaportal running) and later on open MPTvSeries, at this point it will check for new episodes/update the stored info.

AW: Process Plugin for updating and new episodes?

This is working like a charm since 2.6.1 in conjunction with InfoService. As soon as you start MP you´ll see the recently added episodes (in supporting skins). I have this working since 6 weeks now without any problems. As soon as MP is started, TVSeries checks for new episodes and adds them automatically to the db. You may look in the respective logfiles to see what and when it´s happening ;)

I would say it is working like a charm since 2.4 ;)

DieBagger, process plugins and window plugins don't differ much, you can pretty much do everything you would in a process plugin from window plugin.

    hm, ok.

but If I put a new file into the series folder (with mediaportal running), mptvseries will only recognise the file when I open the plugin the next time...

It does make an initial scan on startup (didn't know that, thx), but that still doesn't help me when MediaPortal is already running.

That might be the error in MP-TVSeries then. But I have setup with multiple local and network files and import is done even when in other plugins.

Attach your logs DieBagger, because this is working fine here and if there is a bug I would like to know more information.

Sorry, should have collected and attached logs, I wasn't aware that this was supposed to already work... ;)

I'm not sure I can reproduce this now though since I reinstalled tvseries and deleted log files. And it did work today with a new episode today... :sorry:

Btw.: First time I used the new import wizard -> Absolutely impressive :D:D:D
