sounds to me like it is a grounding issue. I have experienced all kinds of strange power issues with my biostar mb and my antec case. Different case, same mb no prob. Different mb, same case no prob. Go figure...
My problem was different than yours, but like your problem, there wasn't anything online about this particular issue either....
