Re: AW: PureVisionHD (16:9)

yup, is it, but without the /media at the end

There is your problem ;)

Ok lets do it from the beginning. I would use WinRar or 7Zip to unrar the Archive. Winzip sucks with the standard configuration!

  1. Download your PureVision skin. Either the blue version or the normal version.
  2. Open the downloaded *.rar archive.
  3. Unrar the contents of the "Required plugins" folder to "C:\Programme\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\plugins\Windows"
  4. Again look into the download *.rar archive. There is another folder called "PureVisionHDBlue" or "PureVisionHD".
  5. Unrar this folder (not only the contents) to "C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin"
  6. Finished. Pretty easy, hu? :D
  7. Ah i forgot: You must copy the "GOODTIME.ttf" to "C:\Windows\Fonts"
  8. Now you are finished :D

The complete skin folder "PureVisionHD" from the rar file goes into the skin folder C:\Dokumente und Einstellungen\All Users\Anwendungsdaten\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal\skin
All the dlls from the folder "Required Plugins" from the rar file go into the plugins folder C/Programm/Team Media Portal/Media Portal/Plugins/Windows
If you copied something in the wrong location, you have to delete it there, especially if you copied it into the folder C/Programme/Team Mediaportal/Mediaportal.
Shouldn´t be too difficult, as you managed it before with PureVisionHD 3.4 ;)

Hi Chris, you´re much faster in answering than I ;)

    Hmm,

the error message sais something is missing in the ..../PureVisionHDBlue/Media folder.

But neither i have installed the PurevisionHDBlue Skin, nore there is a folder .../media ???

Maybe i should create the Folder manually?

Ok so i have to delete the wrong *.dll `s out of the .../Plugins/Windows folder wich i copied from the "PurevisionHD" folder ?

Oh my god boys, is that a cracy sunday.
And i said it to myself before starting "never touch a runnin`system" ;)

Yap, i get everytime someone posts here a "ding" sound. Very annoying :p

you've copied something to the wrong place.

You've downloaded the normal PureVisionHD skin? Copied the files to the right place like catavolt and i have said? Selected the "PureVisionHD" (not the "PureVisionHDBlue") in the MediaPortal configuration?

You can leave the plugins where they are. The error message complains about the missing images for the skin "PureVisionHDBlue". I think you selected this in you MediaPortal configuration but you haven't installed the "PureVisionHDBlue" skin correctly.

    Boys,
i am living between BONN and COLOGNE.

If it is not too far for you, i would please you to come to a couple of Beer bottles.

It is as Chris it said, i don`t switched the Skin from Blue to not Blue.

Now everything works and all the old Folders and Covers and stuff are on her place.

I`m very very sorry for that guys!!! :sorry:  :sorry:

From the discussion above I think it´s time to use the new Mpe installer. My tests here are absolute satisfiying, all dlls are copied to the right place, the skin itself too. In my test installs I also added the weather icons I use, and this also functioned well.

    Testversion PureVisionHD 3.5 MPe

Hi to all, especially curious users,
please find enclosed the new test version of PureVisionHD 3.5 as MPe installer file (mpe1).

This will install automatically for you:
+ the complete skin PureVisionHD 3.5
    + the necessary plugins
+ the weather icons I use in PureVision
+ and finally the skin cache will be cleared

If the downloaded file does not open automatically (or if you get an error message), please go to the MP program folder, search for MPeInstaller.exe, open it, select the tab Actions, select first button Install local extension and select the file PureVisionHD3.5.mpe1 (the file you just downloaded). Then the installation process should begin.

(You could also right-click on the downloaded file, select "open with" and select the above mentioned MPeInstaller.exe)

Please note: You MUST have MP 1.1.0 Beta 1 AND last SVN 24669 installed, otherwise it won´t work!
Please do not ask for help here if you don´t have the above mentioned configuration!

So, I hope all goes well and you can enjoy the test version of PureVisionHD 3.5!

And please also report here how it works! :D in advance!

    Hi catavolt!

Thanks for the new testversion! One question: Does the new installer overwrite the pevious skinfolder?

    Best regards
