As I´m still improving the skins, I finally found a font which I think is better than Good Times, especially because it supports Latin1, Latin2, Greek and Cyrillic - so languages using it have an undistorted and homogenious display.
I also reworked TVSeries to reduce the scrolling of titles.
Here are the screenshots. Let me know what you think.

Good decision! The font looks much better!

Re: Testversion PureVisionHD 3.5 MPe

Hi to all, especially curious users,
please find enclosed the new test version of PureVisionHD 3.5 as MPe installer file (mpe1).

This will install automatically for you:
+ the complete skin PureVisionHD 3.5
+ the necessary plugins
+ the weather icons I use in PureVision
+ and finally the skin cache will be cleared

If the downloaded file does not open automatically (or if you get an error message), please go to the MP program folder, search for MPeInstaller.exe, open it, select the tab Actions, select first button Install local extension and select the file PureVisionHD3.5.mpe1 (the file you just downloaded). Then the installation process should begin.

(You could also right-click on the downloaded file, select "open with" and select the above mentioned MPeInstaller.exe)

Please note: You MUST have MP 1.1.0 Beta 1 AND last SVN 24669 installed, otherwise it won´t work!
Please do not ask for help here if you don´t have the above mentioned configuration!

So, I hope all goes well and you can enjoy the test version of PureVisionHD 3.5!

And please also report here how it works! in advance!

Installed on 2 MP Clients and no problems so far...

Installed on TV Server and 1 client. Working oerfectly.
Like the new font and the changes to the TV OSD. Was surprised when the skip forward/backward indicator came up (nice).

Question: Where is the skip forward/backward OSD indicator located in an xml?
I'd like to move it from top left to top right (personal preference).

I was thinking too to show it in the upper right corner. The files to change are myTVFullscreen.xml and VideoFullScreen.xml, the entries with IDs 10, 11 and 12.

Thanks! Looks nicer for me now.

If I may, what's the id for the location of the "Pause" button? I'd like to move it up a bit to have it float just above the OSD bar.

Now if only I could figure why my server won't let my client connect under Win 7 62 bit ........

2nd test version of PVHD 3.5

Hi to all,
with the attached version I´d like you to test if a PVHD installation is updated correctly.
Please test!
BTW: There were significant changes to the fonts and the OSDs. Hope you´ll like it!
Please report any installation and/or skin bugs here!
The final PVHD 3.5 will be released if the new TVSeries and the new HTPCInfo is out (tested both here and prepared the respective xmls), but what you see now is nearly 100% what the new release will be.

Hi catavolt!

All works fine with the new PVHD package! But one question: Is the new font part of the installer? The fonts.xml here includes only Trebuchet MS, dingbats and Courier New! In the screenshot you posted in #770 , it looks different to the attached screenshot!

Hi Helios,
that is correct. I changed Good Times to Trebuchet MS because it´s a standard font of windows and support all latin, greek an cyrillic, which gives our foreign friends an undeistorted display.
The problem with the font used in the example is that it won´t be registered in Windows correctly with the installer, furthermore it looks bad in OSDs and other locations.
I finally wanted to have a clean UI, so I decided to leave it like this. Is it so bad? How do you like the new styled OSDs?
