Re: 2nd test version of PVHD 3.5

Hi to all,
with the attached version I´d like you to test if a PVHD installation is updated correctly.
Please test!
BTW: There were significant changes to the fonts and the OSDs. Hope you´ll like it!
Please report any installation and/or skin bugs here!
The final PVHD 3.5 will be released if the new TVSeries and the new HTPCInfo is out (tested both here and prepared the respective xmls), but what you see now is nearly 100% what the new release will be.

Installation went without any problem

I like the new OSD and the EPG with 10 rows is much better to read.

Like the skip forward/backward indicator in green in top right. The OSD looks really nice too.
One thing I noticed is that the Pause indicator when viewing Videos is moved to the right side of the OSD next to the time. When viewing TV (recordings or live) though it's in the center of the OSD.
Is this intentional?

Also, is the red Record button in the OSD supposed to be functional?

Yes to both of your questions The record button is only shown if the OSD for a channel just recorded is displayed.

Where would I put a background image for a plugin?
And what format (jpg or png)?
Will I have to change an entry in an xml file too?

I want to put custom ones in for RadioTime, NetFlix and maybe more.

tamvegas, a background image goes into PureVisionHD\Media preferrably in jpg format.
You´ll find in nearly every skinfile the entry background image, where the <texture> tag references the name of the jpg in the Media folder.

Hey Catavolt,

thx for this awesome Skin!

I installed it a few Hours ago (the MPE1), and it looks nicer and nicer

But i have a little Problem. My apologies if this has been asked for many Times, but i can´t fix my Problem.

The problem their is, is to set my Weather Forecast on the Home Screen. The Message what is displayed their is: infoservice.weather.today.temp.

I had set a City Days ago, and in the Weather-Plugin everything works fine. But not on the Homescreen! Is their a need to copy the Plugin-Dll´s?

Sorry that you have to read and answer this Question again and again, but i can´t fix it by myself.

Thanks Catavolt. There wasn't a control for a background texture in the xml, so I copied one from another file and changed the reference. Worked like a charm. Looking forward to doing a bit more xml tweaking.

Ragendorf: The respective DLL infoservice.dll should have been copied into your plugin folder when installing with mpe1. Please check you have it there.
If the data are shown correctly in MyWeather, then it should show up correctly on basichome as well.

Hi to all, due to an error in the last testbuild the dlls were copied into "Plugins" and not into "plugins\windows". This is the reason that Ragendorf´s installation has no working weather on basichome.
All other testers which had this dlls already inside plugins\windows won´t see any difference.
So I apologize for that - but that´s what testbuilds are for
