Query if TVServer is active (1 Viewer)

Please what is the best way to know from another program if TV Server is in activity (currentlyTimeshifting or Recording).
- Query on database
- Scrutation of log files
...

    Could I ask you to explain in a little more detail (1) why you want to know this, (2) which program you are trying to do it from...
    I guess the short answer would be that I think you can't really tell unless the other program would query TV Server scheduler interfaces to figure out which tuners are in use. Parsing the logs would probably be doable, but quite tricky... maybe. The database would not tell you what you want to know.

    I have a multiseat configuration and my TVServer is installed on my central computer. This computer is also a NAS and home automation server, and I have some maintenance procedures on it, with reboot and restart of database. So I will verify(automaticly) if there is any activity on TVServer before launching this procedures.

    Hi there,

    Do you grab EPG via the stream?

    If not, could you monitor the modified date of the TS file(s)?

    Haven't checked this, so not sure if my idea is valid.
