It always hibernates on every screen after 15 minutes of inactivity and I have the "only on homescreen" unchecked.

untick "home screen only and save, then reopen in config and reselect, this happened to me last week, now works.

I'll try unchecking and re-check but I don't supect this will help. I'll report back later.

Paranoid Delusion my problem is I want the system to shut down on the TV screen, Media Screen, anywhere not just the homescreen.

So with this option unchecked the system should shutdown after 15 minutes of no activative, no matter what screen I am currently in.

Could UK Freeview over the air EPG retreveing be stopping it from entering idle? Could this be the problem as if I remmeber correctly it is set up lower than 15 mintues? Hence the reason the system is never idle for 15 mintues to reach the shutdown stage.

Tonight I will turn off the EPG and see what happens

    Hi bertybassett55,

Double-checked last night and my machine definitely went into standby OK while on the MyTV screen (live TV turned off). EPG could be part of your problem - there is an "EPG" option in the TV Server PowerScheduler configuration, where you configure how EPG grabbing affects standby.

    Cheers,
    Craig

done some windows uopdates at 11.30 last night in a last ditched attempt to get this working. To my suprise it is now working fine, the system shuts down as expected on any screen after 5 minutes of idleing.

Thanks to everyone that posted, your help was much aprricated. Never managed to get visita to shutdown correctly but I don't care about that as Windows XP is working fine now.

That and the PowerScheduler Client plugin that MP has will control things well.

Now the bad news, Vista atm no mouse\keyboard activity is noticed, so unless you have a program open that is in your "exceptions" list of programs to disable the Powerscheduler, then your system will shut down after your pre-determined timeout, and immediately when you shut down your exception program.

Any mouse\keyboard activity with XP will automatically reset the standby countdown, so no shutdown occurs whilst using.
Is this likely to be updated anytime soon to include setups where the client and server are on different machines?
