Question about DVB in Mediaportal (1 Viewer)

Hello. I have a TV DVB usb device and I have been using arcsoft media theater but lately it keeps crashing a lot when recording HD content. So I am considering start using another app and that´s why I came here.

So my question is if media portal will allow me to watch, record and schedule recordings of DVB HD channels. Also I will be interested and know if it will support Dolby digital + sound, as there is a channel in my country that uses this audio format. And the last one, I would be interested in knowing if media portal supports dual DVB devices, mine has 2 tuners and it would be great to be able to record one think and see another, or even record 2 things at the same time...

I have three dual tuners in my system and distribute both live and recorded HD TV over a network to two other rooms, as well as the main lounge.

Thank you both for the answer. I installed it ysterday and it looked me very impressive. I get a little amazed when I saw that it was going to install a DB engine, I didn´t like it very much, I didn´t want to have such kind of software in my laptop, but well, if it needs it, no problem at all.
I started using it and I found too many options and setups. I will only use it to watch, record and schedule recordings of DVB, mostly in HD. My tuner is a Sveon STV22.
Now the questions, could you please tell me what is the best configuration in all the options regarding TV, for my tuner?. I managed to search channels and test the live TV and so on, but I noticed a little problem with the interlaced, mostly in non HD channels....

And the last thing, My laptop has a small remote controller, I have tried to use media portal with it and mot of the things worked, but some didn´t, like the back option, menu, etc... Is there a configuration to solve this?, I assume it will have something, according to all the options that it has....

So, summarizing, I think the app is wonderful and will serve me very well for my purpose, that basucally is to record Motogp races from Telecinco HD channel and see them later.

Can you please tell me how can I setup all the options in order to have EPg working and not to have problems of lines when watching live or recorded TV?. It is very annoying to watch the races with this lines.....

In TV Server config, select the DVB EPG menu.

At top level, you have two tick boxes

1) Enable grabbing while timeshift/recording 2) Enable grabbing while idle.

So deselect grabbing during shift/record and hopefully, that will solve problem.

Really would need to know which filters you have chosen in MP config, we currently recommend the LAV filters rather than a codec pack, which supports many formats of hardware acceleration for video, ie dxva2, nvidia cuvid and intel quicksync.

You can get these using the MP extensions installer found on your desktop.

Well, the EPG problems seems to have dissapeared, but I still have the interlaced one. My problem is that I don´t know which codecs to select in the configuration screen, maybe this is the problem. if you recomend me to use those LAV filters for this, I will give them a try and see if they solve the interlace problem....
