    Hello,
I'm trying to move from scraping my movies directly from imdb/tmdb to a desktop Mediadatabase with nfo export.
I have suggested to use tinymediamanager.
It works good and scraped all my movies and series without big problems.
I hit some problems which I try to sort out with the tmm developer.

One of the problems is the content of the mpaa rating field.
tmm fills the field with this:
    <mpaa>DE:FSK 12 / DE:FSK12 / DE:12 / DE:ab 12</mpaa>
The nfo importer is able to read this into the database but this does not bring a mpaa logo into the MePo GUI. (have tried Titan skin)

Does anybody know, what is needed here to show the right logo in the skins?

    Just another question:
Does the nfo importer have the capability to import more than one fanart per movie?
If yes, how should the naming of the fanart.jpg be?

I can answer one of the questions by myself right now.

Does anybody know, what is needed here to show the right logo in the skins?
It depends on the skin. The content of the database field must be the same than the filename of the logo to show.
    For example:
12 in database needs a 12.jpg certification logo in the skinfolder

    hi megahorst
sorry no read your thread ...

MPAA support only one rating : <mpaa>U</mpaa>
    i do'nt know if @deda can add this <mpaa>DE:FSK 12 / DE:FSK12 / DE:12 / DE:ab 12 </mpaa>

For scrapping you can also use XBNE, support of Discart and logo .... but don't select "Mediaportal" because read DB, but i think is based on MP1.2.
    movie folder.jpg

if i remember good for multiple fanart : Legend of the gardian-fanart(1).jpg Legend of the gardian-fanart(2).jpg but not sure ... if is ( ) or { } .

    Hello @azzuro,

    Thx for your response.
I have talked to the developers of "tiny media manager". A Media Library that is able to write nfo files. They have tweaked their nfo format to fit MediaPortals needs.
MPAA works fine now for me.
The only question that is left is the handling of more than one fanart. I don't know if it is possible to add more than one with an nfo.

Now I have mentioned two problems within MePo when dealing with nfos:

    First:
When I try to refresh a movie with new details only the "text based" details are written to the database. A new fanart or cover is not imported. The old one stays.

    Second:
I have setup my database with movie groups. I have created rules that add new movies to the groups. If I use an online scraper these rules are applied automatically to the new inserted movies (a James Band is than automatically inserted into my James Bond group)
If I add the movies with an nfo into the database this does not work. I have to start the grouping manually by triggering the rule.

    Do you have any suggestions?

hi megahorst, i'm happy to see, than i'm not alone to want use NFO inside MP ( for me, it's primordial ot use this method of backup ),
as you know, MyVidéos and NFO support is very young, and we don't have search all error / improvement on NFO management.

When I try to refresh a movie with new details only the "text based" details are written to the database. A new fanart or cover is not imported. The old one stays.
i think, i have talk Deda on this .... few times
maybe add the name of poster / fanart files inside nfo files, i don't remember the exact node name for this
but i think , MyVideo nfo, don't support the import of many local fanart files, but i'm not on Workstation for test this.

I have setup my database with movie groups. I have created rules that add new movies to the groups. If I use an online scraper these rules are applied automatically to the new inserted movies (a James Band is than automatically inserted into my James Bond group) If I add the movies with an nfo into the database this does not work. I have to start the grouping manually by triggering the rule.
    you can look here https://forum.team-mediaportal.com/...or-nfo-support-in-myvidéos-maybe-xbmc.107160/
what MP can support as node.
i don't know if the node <sets> is supported by MP since 1.3
    XML:
        <sets>                                    <!-- Collection Movie  -->
          <set>First Set Name</set>
          <set order="?">Another Set With An Order</set>
        </sets>

i can propose you to test this files link
what is the MPAA format, supported by tiny ?

i hope than @Deda improve the Myvidéo plugin ( and my dream is to have MovPic / MyFilms / Myvidéos merged into only 1 plugins, but for this we need to to have windowplugins.dll splited for each plugins )

You have to renaim the certification logos within your skin to match these names. A france rating 18+ needs a cartification logo FR_18.jpg or FR_18 .png for example. I have tried this with Titan and it works fine.

    Regarding movie grouping:
ther group is not read out of the nfo.
In the MyVideo plugin you can define rules based on movie actors, title, stored folder, ...
These rules are fired automatically when you insert a movie with an online scraper. When inserting the movies with a nfo the rules are not fired. You have to start them manually. From my point of view this is a bug.

so Mpaa should be FR_U true ?
    Yes!
I have attached a tiny media manager created nfo (renamed to txt)

While testing with different tiny media manager versions I don't have seen any filtering at the mpaa tag. The content of the tag goes to the database as it is.

Sorry for late response, still on vacation till 23.9.

Y, that is missing there because initially nfo import was created for backup/restore purpose, and after I just missed to implement that :). Will add this on MP v1.6

About more fanart, y that is possible in nfo import but fanart definitions must be inside nfo file in tag <fanart> like this:

    Code:
    <fanart>
        <thumb>videofilename-fanart.jpg</thumb>
        <thumb>videofilename-fanart1.jpg</thumb>
        <thumb>videofilename-fanart2.jpg</thumb>
        <thumb>videofilename-fanart3.jpg</thumb>
        <thumb>videofilename-fanart4.jpg</thumb>
      </fanart>

ie if your videofilename is "Movie.mkv", related fanart files where nfo file is must exist as:
    Movie-fanart.jpg
    Movie-fanart1.jpg
    Movie-fanart2.jpg
    Movie-fanart3.jpg
    Movie-fanart4.jpg

Thx @Deda for clarifying this. I will bring this info to the tiny media manager developer. I hope he is willing to implement this.
Do you have an idea about poster and fanart refresh too?
When I'm refreshing a movie in the database with a new nfo and enhanced information into it only the information is uploaded into the database. Posters and fanart are not refreshed with the new ones.

    Thx
