Two questions

first. I sthere a trick to getting the client PC's configuration app to start when the TV Server is down. It seems to take for ever if at all.

Second. When MP is running and you switch to my tv. There is no tv untill you select a program in the epg is this normal or should it be going to the channel it was last set to and showing the video stream.

Hi Richard,

I don't really understand your first question fully. I've never noticed this myself, but my tvserver is nearly always running I guess..

For the TV, in MP config, there is an option to auto turn on TV, which I believe still works with the new TV server (I prefer not to so I don't use it)

Hi there.
What I am referring to is a problem were if the TV server is down and I try to start the clients configuration application. The app takes 10 to 15 minutes to actually appear on the screen as an active application. I discovered this becuase I have MP on a laptop that I take to work. During lunch I thought I would do some playing with it. Of Course its not connected to the TV server becuase its at home and I am at work goofing off. When I tried to run the config, it took for ever to show up.

the second issue is simply that when I am running the server and at home connected to the network. The Server and MP work great. I am so impressed. However the station the server is on does not actually appear as a video until I open the epg and select the channel. It takes about 30 seconds for it to start but once it does it works great. Super to watch TV on the laptop. Very cool.
But my question still remains, I would have thought MP would start cshowing TV right away, at least for the last channel it was on. This doesn't seem to be the case.
