I get the same error. It depends on the format of the station you are trying to stream. In your example, RAI Radio 1, the RadioTime website shows it as Real Media.

There was a number of previous posts in this forum about the plugin not playing Real Media files, of course you have to have a real player or alternative installed. I do have the alternative installed and they won't play for me.

I'm new to the plugin, so I'm no expert! On the RadioTime website, you can click on a station name to see the stream format. The site also displays different colored "Listen" arrows to show if you can play the file. On a Station page, there is a button to get Help on Streams that explains the differrent colors and more!

Since I cannot access this info from within the plugin, I select my stations from the website and add them to My Presets there. You have to register to save presets, but it is free. Then you can set the plugin to always show your presets (in Plugin Configuration).

I cannot play Real Media Streams, those that require Flash player or those that need a special player. That means I can only play streams that are Windows Media format or Winamp format.

Perhaps Dukus can shed more light on what formats are supported.

Dukus, here is what I have done so far for RadioTime skin for Blue3 (4:3). It's not much, but it fixes up a few things.

Personally, I would have resized the header graphic itself, but I wasn't sure if people were using it elsewhere (i.e. in other skins and needed it that big), so I just changed the size in the RadioTime xml. I adjusted the position of the station logo and #nowplaying data and made the metadata control a fadelabel so all the data will display. I also imported the common.time.xml to show the date and time.

You can't do a lot else as long as you use common.facade.music. So the overlay when a station is playing always overlaps icons views, but it does that everywhere in Blue3. And the rotations don't quite clear the menu, but they are also set in common.facade.music.

I could add the overlay, logo and meta data to the sliding menu if that would be useful to anyone.

If you, or anyone else, let me know what else you would like changed I can see what I can do. Sorry I can't do Blue3Wide as I don't have a widescreen

One more suggestion: since you allow the option to Add to Favorites, how about the option to delete from Favorites? I also agree with a previous post that it would be clearer to call it Add to My Presets, but that probably isn't in the language strings files is it! I noticed you got My Presets there, so maybe you can add another

Hello everybody!

I'm just using MP for a few days now and I really like the RadioTime-Plugin!

I just got one little question:
Is there any way of showing the logos of the radiostation I am currently listening to in the minimized window instead of the visualization? Or even don't show the small window at all?
It is no important issue, just because I'm no big fan of visualization.

It seems as if the plugin ignores the settings of the MP Configuration.

Sorry, I can't seem to duplicate the problem. How did you turn Visualizations off? There are two places:
1. On Now Playing Tab in Music Configuration - uncheck show Visualizations (this should only affect the Now Playing screen)
2. On the Visualizations Tab in Music Configurations - set Visualization to none. When I do this it doesn't show them. Does it vary depending on the station you are listening to?

If that still doesn't work for you, you can turn off that 'small window' aka music overlay by editing the radiotime.xml file - at the top of the file <allowoverlay>yes</allowoverlay> - change yes to no.

I turned the visualization off in both tabs you mentioned... still there.

not allowing the overlay seems not to be a solution because the music overlay is still visible in all the other parts of MP. (And normally I like this feature very much!)

Has anyone managed to stream stations that use streamtheworld? More and more stations (especially Canadian) seem to be using this application for streaming, but none of the stations will stream in MP for me. Do I need to setup something?

P.S. Can you also implement #itemcount in the plugin so it can be used in skins?

I have tried open same stations in web browser, and plays without problem, so problem is not in codecs...
