Rar Mount 3 for MediaPortal (1 Viewer)

Here it is, the new version of Rar Mount!

A lot have happened since the last version.

Highlights:

• Play movies in RAR archives without decompressing.
• Supports browsing of archives that contain several files.
• Supports any file size.
• Works with plugins like Moving Pictures and My TVSeries.
• Supports ISO/BIN/IMG DVD images in RAR archives (by integrating with Daemon Tools).
• A stand alone Windows application is also available (at rarmount.com).

Limits:

• The RAR archive must not be compressed, only 'stored'.

Installation:
Download and install the MSI package into your Media Portal root directory.
In the MediaPortal Configuration plugins section: Enable both RarMount3Player and RarMount3Process.
Configure RarMount3Player according to your needs.


This is a first beta version of Rar Mount 3 for Media Portal.
Please note that ImDisk is no longer needed.

Hi.

Tried this one but it wont work.
Did a clean install with MP and latest Rarmount, when i try to open rar file I get error that says:

"Unable to play:wk-brutal.rar

Video codec:mpeg-2v
Audio Codec: ac3

What is wrong or am I doing something wrong with install ?

All I did was installing the latest version and it worked like a charm.
Please explain your problems and attach a log file and I'll see if I can help you.

Did you add ".rar" to the list of supported video file types?
Go to MediaPortal Configuration (in Expert mode) / Videos / Video Extensions, add: .rar

Did that help?
If not, please post a larger portion of the log file.

Please confirm that you have enabled both RarMount3Player and RarMount3Process in the MediaPortal Configuration plugins section and that RarMount3Player is configured to use a available drive letter.
It looks like you haven't enabled the plugins or have forgotten to add .rar to the Video Extensions list (see my last post for instructions).

This is most likely not a RarMount problem.
Decompress the RAR archive and try to play the IMG/ISO file with MediaPortal. Does it work?
If not, search the forum for solutions to your DVD playback problem.

Yep iso/img works fine, and rared avi files works as well..

Is the RAR archive compressed?
Rar Mount only supports "stored" RAR archives, i.e. archives using no compression.

Try some different DVD movies stored in RAR archives. If it still doesn't work, send me a PM with the name of the non-working movies.
