Rc1 TvServer logs (tv.log) deletion (1 Viewer)

HI

I have just install TvServer Rc1..

I have see that you have move the directory of logs
to C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\Team MediaPortal\MediaPortal TV Server\log

I have a computer just runing Tvserver(WindowsXP) and another computer as a client

My Tv.log file has only one line.. every time I do something like "zap a channel" I always have only ONE line.. on tv.log like "2008-04-19 01:32:51.812500 [11]: Controller: StartTimeShifting started on card:2 to R:\MediaShift\live2-0.ts
"

Epg.log has a lot of lines and tswriter.log also..

If I open Setuptv.exe and push View log files.. All my logs except tswriter.log are copied to .bak and new log started..

This is the only problem found by now..

Is your windows clock configured correctly? The log class furthermore needs to be able to check the creation time of tv.log. If that fails (due to filesystem "tweaks", permissions, manually fiddling around) logs will get rotated.

I'm going to hock up on this have seen it lately(2 last days) around 23:00 -> 02:00, have a fresh & clean installation here so if something old did it i shouldn't see this tonight

As I can see every time the is a new "record" on tv.log, tv.log get recicle..
see the picture of the dir..

Hi,
Do you have diskmanager enabled in TV Setup?
Thats what rotate tv.log here(every time it runs)

Ups, this trick made it work... Umm, but is strange, where is the problem? this must be a bug

Hi,
Added this to Mantis, not sure if it is MP bug or win bug(if you delete tv.log & create a new tv.log manually the same creation dates it's added as it is the first time), only deleting folder seems to cure it for one more day...

I had to reboot VISTA32 to get my logs to behave.

Restarting the service didn't help.

Since then I have had ths error repeating which may or may not be connected ?

One other thing about the logs is that they do not renew at midnight like they used to or if they reached a certain size.
