    NO THEY ARE NOT

That is why it is in MANTIS and is being treated as a high priority issue if you want better DVB-T support do as i did and used RC2 with a cvs that suites yourselves.
    This is work in progress

    Hi,

    I also have a terratec 2400i

My Tv live tv is choppy and stops working after a few seconds with a "no signal" error.

HOWEVER Recorded Tv works fine about 95% of the time. I say 95% because one program recorded for the correct length but only half the show was actually recorded, and then the final credits. Very odd.

Also when the TV goes choppy and I get the "no signal" I have noticed that Media Portal starts to become unresponsive and slow. Its very hard to see but it does do it. CPU Usage however is not spiking or requiring any more than normal.

Is it possibly not a timeshifting error but more an error in hard drive accessing times? perhaps the hard drive is too active and is "overloaded" with data being sent to it and read from it?

It must be quite busy with saving timeshifting info reading the data for the showing of live tv and also windows caching?

Let me re-qualify this issue and ask some questions...

We're only concerned about the loss of signal and not being able to access TV again. Please don't muddy the thread with posts about 'choppyness'.

So please post the following or edit your existing posts.
    We are interested in...

    5. If you change channel does the signal come back? (Y/N)
    6. Do you require a reboot to be able to use TV? (Y/N)
    7. Do you know of any tricks to re-enable TV without restarting / rebooting?

I need to qualify the answers to 6 + 7 by noting that it depends for how long the "no signal" condition has been present.

If I leave MP viewing DVB-T and leave for 8 hours, the entire machine needs to be rebooted, maybe due to the "no signal" condition existing for a long period.

I can easily recover from short periods of "no signal" by changing channel.

Sometimes the channel experiences "no signal" and then recovers by itself (but not very often)

    Thanks
