I have this problem lately only with either Intervideo Codec after max. 30 mins (here a restart of MP is necessary) or with Cyberlink Codec after several hours (only picture gets black and I get the "no signal" message but sound stays - here it's enough to go to home screen and enter My TV again).

I saw a post elsewhere that said if you access radio first it seems OK. Ive not tried this myself but it would point to an initialization problem within the code.

BTW Ive tried out a lot of products building my HTPC and MP is easily the best :)

Sometimes, I usually have to go to a "free to air" channel. Same problem with both cards, tried reinstalling XP with only one card fitted.

    hi

Yester day i suffered from the lost signal and after playing around with the timeshift until i got the signal back the tv has been perfect

So far the computer has been on for nearly 24 hours and apart from the lost signal yesterday the tv has been perfect.

It seems that with timeshifting turned off, less signal problems occur.
I think it is important we talk about choppyness as I feel it is releated. The problem wasn't there in RC2. Neither was no signal problem. Again, with timeshifting off, choppyness is minimised. Also to note i feel this isnt a speed issue - i have a 2.8ghz P4 with tv on a seperate HDD.

Changing channels mostly produces a no signal error message. 80% of the time, pressing ok brings back the tv on. Sometimes you get sound but no picture of a different channel playing even when you are on another channel, the it will go silent and MP locks up. - which is when I have to reboot.

At present I have timeshifting turned off as this gives me the best viewing. I know its hard for you guys to test this if you can't reproduce it but there is definately a problem somewhere.

Thanks for your patience with it

I've also detected that turning timeshift on and off gives the signal back...
