I had a lot problems trying to get Media Portal (best software I've ever seen) to work with FloppyDTV.
Problems were severe (lot of applicaton errors and very slow menu scrolling) enough to give showshifter a try. In this program it was suggested to deactivate ffdshow.
After this I gave Mediaportal (0.2 RC4) a try and all worked perfectly and smoothly. At the moment I'm running Media Portal for several hours without hikes/application errors or whatsoever. So deinstalling ffdshow solved problems for me.

    Signal problems

ohdarklord, and all ppl in this post with signal errors

These results were only on one system we are looking for someone else with the problem testing these two cvs for a result. Either the same or different. This may not be the problem at all. But if ppl dont want to test the programmers cant find the fault for us.

I upgraded to RC2 + CVS 31/1 last night, so far everything looks a while lot better, I will let it run until tonight and then try the other mentioned CVS.

One thing I've already noticed is that sometimes when I switched to a scrambled channel I get "The channel is encrypted"(roughly translated from swedish) which is what I also get from my Nokia boxes. This did not happen in R3. This is probably the correct behaviour, Viaccess can be a bit buggy sometimes.

    I'm happy so far :)

Dont forget swemart you are going back in time with the CVS builds so you may get other errors that have been fixed now (example my music hangs on my system when changing songs with 31/1/06 CVS) but we know that it has been fixed now

    DMAN

    Hi,

I've had 31/1 running for 12 hours with just one glitch - lost picture for about 5 seconds on all channels but audio was there.

Been running the CVS from 2/1 for approx 6 hours without any problems.

    There's a dramatic improvement compared to RC3 and RC4.

Are there any other CVS snapshots I could try to find out when the bug was introduced?

    Regards,
    Martin

Hi I have the same problem as most others here and I think it may be to do with ffdshow, if I turn it off for television I then can watch tv prefectly. If it is enabled then after a minute or so it's a black sceen and a lost signal.
