RC4: Hauppauge PVR-150 not working (4 Viewers)

Synopsis:
With V0.2 RC2 MyTV was working correctly with my PVR-150 TVCard. Since RC3 it's not working again. I tried a complete re-install of the complete system with all latest Service-Packs, Direct-X, drivers, etc. but to no avail.

I am wondering if there are users who have the Hauppauge PVR-150 TV Card working with RC4 and if yes, which software version they are using (driver, service-pack, direct-x, etc.)

Interesting enough the very first time I have freshly installed MP the Configuration Application comes up with the wizard and here the PVR-150 is recognised and the configuration application is succesfully completed. However when I then try MyTV in MP the application crashes. After this, each time I try to edit or delete+add the TV-card the configuration application also crashes.

I am experiencing the same problem with the same card.
Before upgrading I did not have any problems either.... NOW.. I have had unsuccessful results with both rc3 and rc4...

Thanks for you confirmation 'nullvalue'. Can you please post also your setup and driver-versions. This way we can help the developpers better. I am also very interested if there is someone from the communicaty who does have a working Hauppauge PVR-150 TV-card with RC4 and if yes which setup and driver versions they are using.

Hi,

did a test with the drivers you use and my PVR 150 still works.

Did you made a clean install of RC4 (deleting "Team Media Portal" folder after uninstall of RC2)?

Thats always highly recommended.

Hi,
I have a pvr150 working (tried several drivers & they all work) & it's very well supported in MP 0.2RC4.

Try to set your codec's to Mpeg2Dec filter for video & MPEG/AC3/DTS/LPCM for audio codec's.

Thanks for all the quick replies. As stated in the original description I even started completely 'clean', meaning a fresh format of the harddisk and re-installing everything from scratch (XP + SP2 + DirectX + DOTNET20 + MP 0.2 RC4).

I will however try with the 'older' PVR-150 drivers and the mentioned codecs and check if that helps. I let you know...

Well I have tried with the mentioned TV-drivers by FlipGer, but to no avail. I also tried different codecs but this also doesn't help. I just get a crash as soon as I enter either MyTV or try to edit the Capture Card in the Configuration Application.

I find especially the last line interesting because I have explicitly configured not to turn the capture on when entering MyTV...

Does anyone have any suggestion what more I could try because I am running out of clues. Luckily I use Ghost Images files in order to restore to a working (RC2) situation, but I find it quite strange that other people have reported a working PVR-150 card with RC4. Somehow there must be something different.

Hi there not sure if this helps but im running the PVR150-MCE and its going fine on RC4 and svn of 28.04.06

driver for the PVR card is ver 2.0.35.23348 - in device manager the card is listed as "hauppauge wintv pvr pci ii (26xx) - think these are the drivers that came with the card when i bought it. not sure if i upgraded them recently or not.

Same Problem over here

I tried and tried and tried...

Different codecs for everything. Different combinations of codecs. Reinstalled the operating system and software. I found that eventually I just had to revert back to RC2. I haven't installed RC4 for fear that it would likewise present problems. Glad I saw your post before I tried again.
